Jungkook tried to remember if he'd made an enemy. The guys trailing him, had he offended them in some way? Jungkook couldn't recall making an enemy. Why was he even running to get away from them? Why were they following him to begin with? They would get close to Jungkook and then simply surveil him. They never made advances or tried to harm him, but it was all too creepy. It was like they wanted to be in the vicinity of the locations he frequented but they never tried to nab him. They'd had plenty of opportunities to do so.

Even though they'd never attacked his person, he didn't want to take any chances. His gut told him the guys were trouble. But of course he thought everyone was trouble. Jungkook knew he had to follow his instincts and try to give them the slip.

A rich, melodic, and calming voice interrupted his thoughts. He'd almost forgotten he was even on an elevator.

"Well, this is me," Taehyung said to whoever was listening. Wasn't that what you should say to your fellow elevator mates? Only an introvert would overthink a simple task such as the etiquette of leaving an elevator.

"Oh, me too," Jungkook said with a slight smile.

They both got off the elevator and Jungkook followed Taehyung down to where his suite was.

Taehyung thought that it was awkward to walk down a hallway with someone. Almost as bad as being on an elevator. He operated better with a crowd of people as he could be invisible. Blending in with a bunch of strangers was easy. But when there were only two people in the hallway, it almost gave him palpitations. Walking alone with Mr. Muscles made him feel a little anxious.

And tingly inside. He guessed that's what the feeling was. But how would he know? He had never taken such an interest in a stranger before—well, not enough to smell them. Ahhh...mixed berries and must.

When in a situation like this, in a hallway, he felt like the other person's presence demanded an engagement with him. He had talked to people a bit in the casino while playing blackjack by telling the dealer if he wanted more cards or when he spoke with the waitresses while ordering drinks. Basically, he had used all the social energy he had for the day. Taehyung was all talked out. Overstimulated. What the fuck else did the world want from him?

Taehyung made it to his room and thought it was odd that the young man holding his shoes stopped with him. He turned and watched him as the stranger was watching him. He was hoping this guy wasn't a scammer trying to rob him or do him harm.

But he's a civilian, right? Taehyung was a trained FBI agent. He was also a trained fighter. He could take Mr. Pretty couldn't he? Well, if something popped off, he was prepared. He had his personal gun with him at all times. He may be a little introverted, but things would definitely pop off if Mr. Mixed Berries tried anything untoward.

Damn. Now he was thinking of the guy's scent again. Next, he'd be undressing him in his mind.

Taehyung took a deep breath. "Um, sir, may I help you?" He asked.

"Yes, I seem to be lost and I can't find my room or the friends I was with. Do you mind if I come in and just charge my phone up a bit so that I can text them?" Jungkook asked.

"Um." Taehyung thought for a minute while breaking a sweat. And he really had to pee. This stranger could really be a scammer. He had learned about the frequency of these type crimes— guests or travelers being lured back to their rooms only to be taken advantage of by criminals. Usually once they slip the victims something to cause them to pass out or lose some form of consciousness, they would get robbed. But this guy didn't seem to be the type. Taehyung decided that he would let him in. But his guard would be up.
