Taehyung had two choices. He could stay at home and cry a river or he could go to work and cry a river. He chose to go to work.

"Taehyung, are you gonna' be ok, man? Maybe you should've stayed home," Jimin advised as they got off the elevator on Taehyung's floor.

"Chim, I need to keep busy. I can't be idle, thinking of him, wondering if he's okay, worrying about his safety. Work will keep my mind occupied. I need to just get to my computer and pour over some spreadsheets of a certain Venezuelan's bank records and try to make it through the day."

Taehyung had turned into a robot overnight. He went by his regular routines without feeling, without thinking. He was numb with pain and if he were honest with himself, it wasn't just because Jungkook was in imminent danger. Taehyung was hurting due to the fact he missed Jungkook so much.

For the first time since he'd been back from Vegas, Taehyung had to sleep alone. A few weeks ago, that would've been to his pleasure, but after snoozing while holding Jungkook close, or vice versa, he'd gotten used to the intimacy. He went from being a guy who loved to be alone at home to being a guy who needed Jungkook in his life. Vegas and his elevator husband had changed him. Jimin thought it was a change for the worse.

"Dude, I'm getting married this week. Please tell me you'll be out of this funk by then." Jimin was to finally wed and he hoped his best friend could help keep his own spirits light as he had decided to take on both marriage and fatherhood.

"I'm not in a funk, Jimin. I'm...fuck I don't know what I am." Taehyung unlocked his office door. The two walked in, Taehyung hitting the light switch before sauntering over to his desk.

"If you say so, man." Jimin shook his head as he looked at the top of Taehyung's desk where a manila file folder caught his eye. It was oddly placed because Taehyung had never left files or anything else out on his desk over the weekend. His office was always left spotless and organized. He said it helped him start the week with a clear head.

"Dude, you're leaving your desk unkempt? Since when do you leave folders out on your desk when not in use? I'm telling you, dude, you've changed." Jimin turned his head to sneak a peek at Taehyung's agenda. Then he turned back around and watched Taehyung silently sit at his desk, picking up the file.

Jimin took a peek at Taehyung's agenda, though he knew it would piss him off. His eyes bucked at what he saw. There was a variety of color inks on the page. He even spotted a few...

"What the hell is on your planner? Are those....stickers?" Jimin asked, looking appalled.

"Jimin, get your eyeballs off of my agenda!" Taehyung screamed, reaching for his planner, and closing it shut.

"You're using different color inks and stickers now? What are you, a fifth-grade girl?"

"For your information, Jungkook is a planner too and he showed me his style of organizing his daily and weekly tasks. He uses a color-coded system and I kinda like it. We had a planner sesh one night."

Jimin shook his head. "Wow. What are the odds that two grown nerds would find each other in Vegas?" Jimin looked as Taehyung picked up the file on his desk.

"This is weird. I never leave files out and I definitely don't remember seeing one with this name on it." Taehyung flipped through the papers in the file and saw that it had information on the Crass family. "Holy shit! This is a file folder with information linked to Jungkook's parents. I wonder who left this file here?"

"Forget about who left it," Jimin offered as he sat in the chair in front of Taehyung's desk. "What's actually in the file is what's important."

"It looks like some birth certificates, some short biographies, and information about the shooting. There is even a picture of Jungkook here with a question mark on his face." Taehyung dropped the file as if it were poisonous or too hot to the touch.
