∗⋅◈⋅∗"So, you're ditching us again?" Jimin asked. "This is my bachelor hangout weekend and you're making it a 'Tae-fall-in-love fest.'" Needless to say Jimin was upset that Taehyung wasn't gonna go to another strip club with the group. He had made plans to meet Jungkook.
"It's not like I haven't spent time with you guys. I was with you for breakfast or rather for brunch. Then we went to TopGolf."
"Yeah, and you left early," Jimin retorted.
"And then, I returned after Jungkook left to rest."
"Yeah, only because he needed to rest. I'm surprised you didn't stay and baby him." Jimin rolled his eyes.
What Jimin didn't appreciate is that after leaving the chapel and the Bellagio, Taehyung had spent the entire early afternoon with the other five. And though he had plans later, he still went with the group and explored a couple sites.
During that time, the six friends visited the Sphere, which turned out to be more than just a giant ball. The dome stood 366 feet tall and 516 feet wide, seating over 18,000 people, with groups like the Grateful Dead scheduled to perform later that evening. Though they wouldn't be attending, they all agreed the Sphere was magnificent. Yoongi and Namjoon, who both loved technology and supported green energy, especially appreciated that 10,000 seats offered an immersive experience and that the dome ran on 75% solar power
After checking out a few other sights and gambling a bit at the Palm, Taehyung was utterly exhausted. They had crammed so much into one day. But there was more to come—he had to leave to meet Jungkook.
The evening was significant for them. It was possibly the last day Taehyung and Jungkook would spend together. In the morning, Jungkook planned to disappear, possibly to his dream destination: the Mediterranean. He had dreamed of spending time in Crete and Santorini, drawn not only by the beauty but also by the presence of secure banks, which he believed might prove useful to him. Meanwhile, Taehyung would return to D.C. to his office and many planners. Both guys, knowing that their time together was limited, they cherished every moment.
They first made their way to the Venetian. They were excited to take advantage of the gondola rides at the resort that took them by water to see a miniature Venice.
As they made their way to the gondolas, Taehyung noticed that the evening air was perfect—not too hot, with a gentle breeze that swept by, carrying the familiar scent of Jungkook's cologne. The fragrance stirred memories of their first meeting in the elevator.
Stepping into the sleek black gondola, they were greeted by the soft sound of water lapping against the boat, creating a serene contrast to the lively energy of the casino just steps away. As they settled into their seats, the gondolier gently pushed off, and the gondola glided smoothly through the winding canals, surrounded by the grandeur of Italian-inspired architecture.
They marveled at the painted ceilings of the miniature bridges and the soft glow of lanterns lining the canal. The atmosphere was intimate, with only the gondolier's melodious voice and the occasional ripple of water breaking the peaceful silence.
Leaning into Jungkook, Taehyung whispered, "It would be nice to visit Venice one day, wouldn't it? And maybe Florence too."
Jungkook smiled, feeling the warmth of Taehyung's presence, their bodies lightly touching, one passing energy to the other.
"I'd rather see Rome," Jungkook replied, pressing his face into Taehyung's hair. "But if I could go with you, I'd take any town. Jungkook bent his face further into Taehyung's hair. He loved the smell of it. Jungkook guessed that it was a Paul Mitchell scent.
