FIVE YEARS LATER....

∗⋅◈⋅∗

"Why'd you even ask if you didn't want the truth?" Taehyung asked, eyeing his husband across the game table. The couple was hosting another game night, and the stakes were rising fast as their round of adult Truth or Dare took a fiery turn.

"Oh, you want to be married to someone else and that's your truth now?" Jungkook asked with his head slightly cocked to the side, in disbelief.

"I'm married to you, Jungkook. I can't be married to two people at once." Taehyung threw his hands up as if in defeat.

"Hmph..." Jungkook rolled his eyes and folded his arms as the rest of the group looked on wearing full smiles. They had been accustomed to the couple being all handsy and flirty with each other all the time. Hearing them disagree was new. They were enjoying the show.

"Fine then," Taehyung started. "Who would you marry if I were to ever die?"

"No one!" Jungkook screamed.

"Be practical!" Taehyung yelled back.

"That is practical! When I asked you who you'd marry after me, you were supposed to say no one!"

Jin couldn't help himself. He started yelling "Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight!"

Namjoon cleared his throat and motioned towards the bedrooms, signaling that the children were all in bed and the chanting was too loud. Even though the Kim-Jeons had purchased a bigger apartment, Joon was afraid that they could still wake the kiddos with their yelling.

Taehyung got up from the table. Jungkook watched him stroll towards him, Taehyung doing his best to look contrite. Taehyung kissed him on the top of his head—a form of an apology. Jungkook was a little salty but he accepted it. After all, it was just a game.

"Dammit," Jin said. "I thought that finally, we were going to witness a full-on Kim-Jeon household throwdown!"

Hoseok and Jimin were also a little bit disappointed. Watching the two youngest argue was like a dream come true. Mainly because it never happened. Not in front of anyone anyway.

From the outside looking in, Taehyung and Jungkook had a perfect relationship. And it was true. They did. Well, as perfect as perfect could be. They always agreed. They had been together for five years and had still loved spending every minute they could together. They lived together. They started a law firm together. And still, they couldn't keep their hands off of each other.

The night went on as planned. Taehyung and Yoongi played the new game Marvel Rivals on Taehyung's PlayStation 5. All the other guys were still stuffing their faces with delectables. They had praised Jungkook for once again putting out an amazing spread. Jin and Hoseok had offered to pitch in to assist in paying for the food and drinks— not because they wanted to help. But they often picked with the couple because they made less money than everyone else. Running an advocacy-related nonprofit law firm didn't bring in the big bucks. So, the couple got teased a lot.

Little did the group know that Jungkook's birth parents had already given him his part of the inheritance from all the money left to Chang-min. The couple put up savings and invested in real estate along with Wonsik so the Kim-Jeon household was good on money. But they still tolerated the "it's giving broke" punchlines from the group. It was all fun and games.

Willow and Maddie had joined the party as babysitters and were in the kids' playroom where all the children had fallen asleep. Maddie and Jimin had two children. Willow and Yoongi had married and welcomed one toddler and were expecting another.
