When I was getting ready for school, I looked at everyone's schedules. Why do me, Elli, Sasha, and Russell always have science together? And why is it always first period? I shook my head and left my room. I went into Mysha's first. She was packing her bag last minute because she didn't do it yesterday, even though Daria reminded her several times. I closed the door and went into Ruland's room. He was already ready. He was sitting on his bed, texting someone.

"You ready for your junior year?" I asked.

"Yeah," he answered. "I also have some news I'm gonna tell everyone tonight during dinner."

"Good or bad?"

"Good. Always good news." He smiled. "What about you and Mysha? Are you guys excited to be fresh meat?"

"Not when you say it like that." I sat next to him. "Mysha's excited, but me? I don't know."

"You'll be fine. I promise."

When dad called out to us that it was time to go, I left Ruland's room and went back into Mysha's to help her pack. Once we finished, I went into my room and grabbed my bag and phone. We all left the house and went into the car, and dad began driving us to school. On the way there, I was texting Violet. She was updating me on everything that happened during the summer. She went on a hiatus, but she was back from it now. She told me that she took the time to really get to know herself. She figured out her sexuality—she was a lesbian—and she and Makayla got really close, resulting in them getting together. Turns out Makayla was bisexual. I was happy for her but surprised to hear that she and Makayla got together. I wasn't going to tell Mysha, but I did wonder how she'd react to that news.

When we all arrived at school, Ruland led us to the patio. We sat at a table while he brought over his friends and introduced us to them. They were all pretty friendly, at least at the moment. After some time, Destiny, Atticus, and Elliot met us at the table, and shortly after, Sasha and Russell joined us. We all made small talk until the bell rang. Ruland guided me, Elliot, Sasha, and Russell to our chemistry class, while Ruland's friends helped Destiny, Atticus, and Mysha get to their classes.

When we got there, the teacher told us we could sit anywhere. I sat at the first desk in the front by the window; Elliot sat behind me, Russell sat beside me, and Sasha sat behind him. We all spoke about some ideas for Atticus's birthday on August 27th. Destiny was the main planner, but she told us to brainstorm some more ideas in case she had to change her original plan.

The bell rang and we stopped talking. I looked around and saw that almost all the seats were filled. The teacher began to tell us about himself. He had to stop from time to time to answer questions anyone had. We then all took turns introducing ourselves. Elliot hated the idea and kept it vague. Russell, on the other hand, yapped away. He ended up making friends because many of them shared the same interest with him. Sasha also kept hers vague but made some small talk with some girls that sat near her.

The teacher let us get to know each other. During that time, Elliot continued to read while I started messaging Mysha. She was telling me how she found a cute guy in her class. I wasn't surprised by this, but her next sentence shocked me. She said that they were talking, and she actually seemed to enjoy what he was talking about. Usually she'd pretend to care about what the guys had to say, but she didn't need to do that with him. Could he finally be the one? I'm sick of her lusting over Atticus and Elliot. She's still lusting over them considering she forgot the talk we had about two years ago because she got a concussion thanks to Elliot.

Me and Elliot talked a bit about his sexuality a couple of days ago. He didn't initiate the discussion. I got curious and asked him if he was planning to come out. Reluctantly, he told me that he was thinking about coming out to Trinity. I told him it was a good idea and he shot a bird at me in return.
