SIX PM. THAT WAS the time gwen was told to meet felix and aariz at their dorm. carlos offered to go with her too, seemingly extremely uncomfortable with her going alone — which earned himself some teasing from jay — but gwen had brushed him off and told him she would be back soon. she didn't know what the boys even wanted, but she knew it wouldn't be bad.

"gwen?" felix questioned softly, looking at her in alarm. "what are you doing here?"

gwen stared at his dorm room door, which she had yet to knock on, before glancing back at him with a confused frown. "aariz told me to meet you both in your dorm at six, did you not know?"

"no?" felix stressed, and glanced around the halls, panicked, before he grabbed onto her arm, pulling her into the dorm room. "you can't be here!"

"what? why?" gwen frowned.

"gwen!" aariz smiled from his bed, standing up to greet her. "there you are!"

"why is she here?" felix demanded quietly, and he turned to look at his best friend in question. gwen rolled her eyes and smacked his finger away from pointing at her as he glared.

"for exactly the same reasons why you don't want her to be," aariz responded firmly, and felix went quiet as he took in those words.

"what is going on right now?" gwen questioned, a harsh tone to her voice as she clenched her jaw.

felix didn't want her here; he was refusing to even glance in her direction. gwen could feel her hands starting to shake as she tried to throw away all the building thoughts in her head.

don't be hurt. you're betraying them tomorrow. don't be hurt. don't be hurt. don't be hurt. d—

gwen was hurt.

why did she care so much?

"come on, let's just sit down," aariz said softly.

no one moved.

"sit," he threatened more harshly.

felix immediately sat down.

gwen stayed put in her place at the door and shook her head. "not until you tell me what's going on!"

aariz huffed. "are you telling her or am i?" he asked felix, turning to look at the prince, softly despite his harsh tone. when he received no answer, he nodded his head. "i'll tell her then," he claimed as he turned back towards gwen. "felix has been forbidden to be friends with you anymore!"
