After years of hard work and dedication, Thandar stood proudly in the grand lobby of TNR Hospital, her dream now a reality. The hospital was a testament to her perseverance and commitment, and as the CEO and Founder, she felt a profound sense of accomplishment. Despite the challenges, the effort had paid off.

To celebrate her success and reconnect with her past, Thandar decided to visit the Philippines and surprise her best friend, Lai. As she walked through the school's bustling campus, a sense of nostalgia and excitement filled her. She finally spotted Lai in the courtyard, surrounded by her students.

With a mischievous grin, Thandar approached from behind, wrapping her arms around Lai in a tight hug. "Surprise!"

Lai stiffened momentarily before turning around, her eyes widening in shock. "Thandar! Oh my goodness!" She pulled Thandar into a warm embrace, her eyes shimmering with tears of joy. "I can't believe you're here!"

Thandar laughed, holding out a bouquet of flowers. "I know, I know. I'm a terrible friend for not visiting sooner. But I've been swamped with establishing the hospital and working at Prof. April's. Please forgive me?"

Lai's initial surprise melted into a playful pout. "Hmm, you just show up now? What kind of friend are you? I know you've been in the Philippines a few times already, but you never dropped by. What's the excuse this time?"

Thandar chuckled, handing the bouquet to Lai. "I promise, it wasn't intentional. I've been juggling a lot, and time just slipped away. But here I am now, and I've got these flowers just for you."

Lai's frown faded as she took the bouquet, her smile returning. "Well, I guess I can forgive you. These are beautiful. But don't think this lets you off the hook for all those missed visits!"

"Fair enough," Thandar said with a grin. "I'll make it up to you. Let's catch up. I want to hear all about your life here and everything you've been up to."

As they walked together through the school grounds, their conversation flowed effortlessly. They shared stories of their recent experiences, laughed over old memories, and marveled at how much had changed since their graduation. The bond between them felt as strong as ever, and Thandar couldn't help but feel a deep sense of happiness.

"So, how's life as a preschool teacher?" Thandar asked, genuinely curious.

"It's wonderful," Lai said with enthusiasm. "I love working with the kids. They're so full of energy and joy. It's challenging, but incredibly rewarding."

Thandar nodded, her eyes warm with affection. "I'm so proud of you, Lai. You've always had a big heart, and it's great to see you making such a difference."

As they continued their conversation, Lai looked at Thandar with genuine curiosity. "And what about you? How's the hospital? I've heard it's been a huge success. I even heard that some rich people and important patients are coming in."

Thandar's face lit up with pride. "It's been a lot of hard work, but it's finally coming together. I'm really excited about the future and the impact we can have on the community. And yes, we do have some private patients. It's been quite a journey."

"That's amazing," Lai said, her smile widening. "I've seen your hospital on TV—it's really successful, and I'm so happy for you."

Thandar beamed at the compliment. "Thank you, Lai. It means a lot to hear that."

Lai's expression grew thoughtful. "By the way I haven't told Evan about the secret we shared. Why don't you tell him now? Maybe it's time for some closure."

Thandar's smile faltered slightly. "I've been thinking about that. I'm not sure if now is the right time. I've always wondered how he would react, but it's such a delicate thing..."

"Maybe it's worth a try," Lai suggested gently. "He's moved on and achieved so much, just like you have. It might help both of you find some peace."

Maybe leaving the past as the way it is would be the best answer. He is now happy I can see that and I don't want to bother him again.
