The holidays flew by unnoticed, and now the day has come to return to Hogwarts. Christina woke up early in the morning, feeling excitement and slight sadness from parting with her family. She quickly got ready, putting her things in a chest, and went downstairs, where the whole family was already on their feet, preparing to leave.
Victor helped Christina with her luggage, and Elizabeth checked that all the necessary things were taken.
– Make sure you have all your textbooks and warm clothes, – she reminded, trying to hide her concern.
– Everything is in place, mom, – Christina reassured her. – Don't worry.
Anna stood at the door, clutching the teddy bear that Christina had given her for Christmas.
– Will you write me letters? – she asked, looking at her sister with sadness in her eyes.
– Of course I will, – Christina answered, hugging Anna. – And I will definitely come for the summer holidays.
Alexander approached Christina and handed her a small package with a smile.
– It’s good luck for you, – he said. – You'll open it on the train.
Christina accepted the gift and thanked her brother, after went to the station.
Platform 9 and 3/4 was bustling. Parents said goodbye to their children, students chatted, discussing the past holidays and upcoming classes. Christina felt her excitement building as she saw the red train ready to depart.
– The time has come, – Victor said, hugging his daughter. – Study well and be careful.
Christina nodded and got on the train. She found an empty compartment and settled in, placing her trunk on the shelf. Opening the package from Alexander, she saw a small silver medallion with the image of a phoenix. On the back was engraved: «The power is in you»
Christina smiled, feeling warm and confident. Placing the locket around her neck, she looked out the window where her father was still standing, waving goodbye to her. She waved back, feeling the train begin to move.
Emma and Lillian soon joined Christina in the compartment. They happily discussed their vacation, sharing their impressions and plans for the upcoming semester.
– How was your holiday, Christina? – asked Lillian, sitting down opposite.
– Very good, – Christina answered, smiling. – Anna and I played in the snow, and I also received this medallion from Alexander.
Emma looked at the medallion and exclaimed in admiration:
– He's wonderful! What a caring brother!
Christina felt that her friends were sincerely happy for her. Soon they were joined by James, who also shared his impressions of the holidays.
– My parents threw a real holiday for Christmas,– he said, his eyes shining with joy. And now I look forward to new adventures at Hogwarts.
Christina felt her excitement give way to joy from meeting her friends. They chatted, laughed and discussed what awaited them in the new semester as the train rushed forward, bringing them closer to the wizarding school.
The coming semester promised to be full of new knowledge, challenges and, of course, friendship, which for Christina had already become an integral part of her life at Hogwarts.
