After the events of the war, Hades had suffered alone for a while, before deciding that he'd have to create Medusa once again out of souls and the last of her memories, so he could have some help getting back at the Goddess of Light.

She, however was tired of being revived over and over again. However, there was no way she could fight back against Hades after the Underworld war. The Goddess had to reside under him...for now...

Medusa crept out a doorway. She appeared as a purple tinted skinned woman with green snakes on her head, one of them being orange. Her eyes were slim and she wore a purple dress with a red gradient going to the bottom. The dress also had gold ornaments on the waist.

"You called, Lord Hades?"

Hades, a god with multicolored hair, purple robes, and claw-like nails, was staring at the wall in front of him, his back facing Medusa. His usual flamboyant stance seemed to dissipate completely.

"Hades?"

There was silence in the room, before Hades punched the wall in anger, leaving a small crack in the plain partition.

Medusa flinched at the unexpected gesture. "H-huh?! What the?! What's wrong?"

"You don't know?"

Hades turned towards Medusa, the anger apparent in his blood orange eyes.

"YOU DON'T KNOW?!" His voice echoed through the Underworld chamber.

Medusa grimaced, her expression a little guilty. "I'm sorry, I wasn't aware-"

Hades facepalmed. "Dear me Medusa, you're telling me you didn't get the news of (y/n)...ESCAPING THE UNDERWORLD?!

Medusa's eyes widened. How was she not informed of this after her arrival?!

"The Fallen Angel? They're gone?"

Hades took a deep breath before lashing out further. "I'm afraid so. They managed to escape the City of Souls. I don't know how. My loyal Soul-eating monster couldn't even stop them. Their wings got torn though. I don't know what's more hideous, their wings or the monster that ripped them apart."

The Lord of the Underworld narrowed his eyes. "Not only did we lose an important soldier, I bet the Goddess of Light will freak if she sees a fallen angel escape from here. And there is a huge chance we'll be to blamed for it...or chaos will wreak across the earth..."

Hades walked in a circle as Medusa looked patiently, gripping her staff tightly. Then Hades stopped, giving the Goddess a glance.

"You need to find her and bring her back to the Underworld. Their wings are bent, so once they're found, they will have a hard time getting out. If they do try though, we'll need to take drastic measures."

That caused Medusa to put an even more firm grip on her staff.

"Which means?"

Hades crossed his arms. "Which means we'll have to remove their soul from their body."

The Gorgon nodded, understanding the situation.

"And if her soul gets eaten?"

Hades shrugged. "Mm. Their loss. I need you to find them. Bring them back alive. Before Palutena and little Pitty Pat finds out. Oh, and no going into your true form! That will attract too much humans, and especially The Goddess of Light herself. You need to stay put as your regular form."

Medusa nodded, before heading out the gateway, tapping her staff so she could fly upward, out of the City of Souls, and onto land.

The world was very vast and huge. The snake-haired woman groaned. This was going to take really long. But she had no choice. She had to do this the hard way. She gripped her staff and set off to land.

Fortunately, you found a hot spring nearby the area that Viridi set the trials. There was no time to undress; you hopped in, sitting down, feeling the healing effects after your battle with Cragalanche.

"Ah, it's been too long since I've sat in one of these..."

Hot Springs weren't present in the Underworld. Relaxing baths like these were always your favorite thing to do when you were much younger.

Dark Pit noticed you ease up in the hot spring. He crossed his arms and rolled his eyes towards you. "You're just like him."

You looked up at Dark Pit, raising your eyebrows.

"Huh? Like who?"

"Pit," he said, leaning against a rock, "Always going into a Hot Spring fully clothed."

You shrugged. "Oh. Yeah. I usually take off my chiton to go in, but there's no time for that. Viridi's going to set up the next trial soon."

You shifted over, resting your arms and head by the edge of the hot spring. Dark Pit sighed, his gaze softening.

"Speaking of those, nice work on the first trial."

Your eyebrows shot up once again, surprised to see Dark Pit complimenting on your performance. Dark Pit noticed your expression and looked away.

"What? Even Viridi was dazzled by your fighting skills! Can't usually get praise from someone?"

You sighed. "Not in the Underworld..."

Dark Pit felt a sense of guilt wash into him as he looked away further. His wings drooped slightly.

"Shoot. My bad. I almost forgot you were a Fallen Angel. Sorry..."

You looked at Dark Pit, your eyes softening as you smiled.

"No, no! It's okay! The Underworld is quite...harsh, ya know?"

"Yeah. I know." Dark Pit stiffened, "It just makes me feel bad."

You were instantly reminded of what Dark Pit said to you earlier.

"Because ever since that day, I realized I can't just stand there and let people fade away in front of me!"

You wanted to ask him about that..."day." You really did. But if it was such a sensitive topic, then it was probably not best to say a word about it.

After you felt fully healed, you stepped out of the hot spring, letting the wind dry your clothes and (squeezing/shaking) the water out of your hair. Dark Pit found himself staring at your actions.

It was almost...endearing.

The way you moved your (h/c) bangs out of your face, a sigh escaping your lips as you stretched your arms. What was he doing...? He didn't know why he was frozen, but he couldn't look away. He just kept peering at your movements.

You could feel the energy coming back to you, and you were surely prepared for Viridi's second trial. You looked around your surroundings, when you noticed Dark Pit observing you.

When Dark Pit noticed your eyes locking with his, he snapped out of his trance and immediately flushed, turning to the side. He tried to cover his face with his arm as he was caught staring. You didn't notice his embarrassed expression, but you did notice his sudden gesture. You were about to question him, but you were interrupted by a sassy high-pitched voice next to the two of you.

Viridi was back into her normal form. You blinked, wide-eyed. She was the size of a child! Viridi caught your surprised expression and pouted, completely oblivious to your banter.

"Hey! It's not my fault I'm short! Now then, the next trial is set up! I hope you're prepared!"

You nodded, letting the wind dry your clothes and wings for a little longer before following Viridi down the stairs to the hot spring. Dark Pit sighed in relief, as he wasn't questioned about his staring earlier. But he still couldn't process why he was so distracted a minute ago. What was it about you that caught his attention?

He tried to put his confusion in the back of his mind and followed after you and Viridi.
