Life just wasn't the same without Sam and Madelyn. It was just Dean and Camryn, and the latter could sense that a part of her boyfriend wanted his brother back, just as much as she wanted her sister back. Both of them hadn't been separated from their respective younger siblings throughout their lives and they had learned to lean on each other, and depend on each other when there was no one else that they could depend on.

Camryn couldn't speak for Sam, but she knew that no matter how much Dean tried to hide it, he was a wreck.

Over the last week, they had been on back-to-back hunts, and she knew that it was to keep his mind occupied from thinking about where his little brother was and what he was doing.

Driving to a motel, the car ride was silent, with Dean tapping the steering wheel with his fingers. The motion had caught Camryn's attention as her thumb moved in comforting circles on his leg.

"Babe." She called softly.

"Hmm?" He hummed in response, his verdant gaze focused on the road ahead.

"Talk to me.." She said with a soft tone, wanting to know what was going on in that head of his.

"Cami.." Dean chastised gently with a sigh, his jaw tensing slightly as he clenched it. "I don't do that."

"I know." Camryn replied, releasing a soft sigh of her own as he continued to tap the steering wheel. "But bottling it up doesn't help either. It's been over a week.." She added and took his right hand into her left, intertwining their fingers together. "What can I do to make you feel better?"

Silence fell over the couple for a brief moment before Dean finally glanced at her, his green gaze meeting her greyish-blue as he gently squeezed her hand.

"You just being here with me is enough." He answered before he brought her hand up to his lips and gently kissed the back of it.

In the same week of Dean and Camryn's back-to-back hunts, Sam and Madelyn had reunited at a bar that they both happened to be working at under the aliases of Keith and Sarah

In the same week of Dean and Camryn's back-to-back hunts, Sam and Madelyn had reunited at a bar that they both happened to be working at under the aliases of Keith and Sarah. It had felt as if it had been a lifetime since they had last seen each other since the incident with Ruby at the motel that Sam had wondered if she was even real, standing there before him or if she was just a figment of his imagination.

But after reassuring him that she was really there, Madelyn had suggested that they speak after their shift to which Sam had agreed to.

Once their shift had ended, the pair had filled each other in on what had happened since they had last seen each other, and Sam couldn't help but feel slightly hurt that she didn't come back.

A couple of days had passed since then, and Madelyn had just completed her shift and clocked out for the night, with Sam being the last staff member left behind and was in charge of locking up.

As he wiped down a table, the door to the bar had chimed open, indicating to him that someone had entered the already closed bar.

Making the customer aware that the bar was closed, Sam turned around only to find the hunter, Tim, from earlier that day standing in the doorway.

Tim questioned Sam on whether he had something to admit, which Sam denied. But that didn't sit well with Tim has he proceeded to explain that him, Steve and Reggie had gone into town to take care of a demon but had ended up being jumped by ten more which ended up with Steve's life being lost.

The hunter proceeded to reveal that the demon had told them thing, things that Sam had done - but the shaggy haired male had denied it once again. Demons lie.

Tim had demanded the truth from Sam yet again just as the door to the bar had chimed again, and Reggie had entered, hauling in Lindsey - a waitress that worked in the bar with Sam and Madelyn - with a knife pressed to her neck.

Seeing that an innocent life was being threatened, Sam glanced between the two hunters and admitted that what they had heard from the demon was true, he had started the apocalypse.

Finally happy with the response, Tim had pulled out a test tube of red liquid revealing that it was the source of what started it all for Sam.

Demon blood.

The tall hunter demanded that the blood be kept away from him only for Tim to scoff at the demand and state that the blood was for him, that he was going to drink it and kill every single demon that aided in Steve's death.

It was either that or Lindsey was going to die, as he nodded towards Reggie, who had just handcuffed the waitress to the bar.

Making sure that she was secured, the two hunters then advanced on Sam, who retreated from them. This forced Reggie to charge towards the youngest Winchester, only to be thrown into the pool table nearby. Tim joined the fight and helped Reggie restrain Sam and poured the demon blood into his mouth before holding his mouth closed which would force him to swallow.

The two hunters dropped him and backed away as Sam got up to his feet. The tall hunter stared at them in silence before he spat the blood in Tim's eye and slammed him into the bar. Before Reggie could advance on him, he was hit over the head with a pool cue by none other than Madelyn.

The blonde flipped the cue around in her hand as Reggie regained his bearings and lunged towards her, only for the huntress to use the cue to swipe his feet from underneath him. She quickly broke the pool cue over her knee and used the one half to stab the hunter in his leg.

Meanwhile, Sam had quickly grabbed hold of Reggie's knife and held it to Tim's throat before he noticed that Lindsey had witnessed the entire ordeal play out in front of her. Clenching his jaw tensely, he demanded that the two hunters leave but not without Tim warning him of their return.

Sam glanced over to Madelyn and nodded at her - the blonde rolling her eyes before she pulled the broken pool cue out from Reggie's leg and tossed it onto the floor, blowing a strand of hair from out of her face and she stood beside Sam, watching as the hunters exited.
