Sam held Madelyn in his arms, gently rubbing her back as they lied, cuddled under the sheets. He stared at the blonde in his arms with a smile as she traced random patterns along his chest before she met his gaze with a smile.
The two said nothing, simply basking in the comfortable silence before they both leaned in, meeting each other halfway in a sweet kiss.
But the moment was soon short-lived when the door to the motel room opened, and an old man had entered, startling the young hunters.
Madelyn immediately pushed away from Sam and brought the sheet up to cover her naked body away from the stranger's prying eyes. "Excuse me!" She exclaimed as Sam reached for his gun.
"Who the hell are you?!" Sam demanded, aiming his gun at the stranger.
"Dude, relax. It's me." The old man said, which confused the two hunters. He spoke so similarly to..
"Dean?.." The youngest Winchester gasped as he slowly lowered his gun.
"Hi." The stranger, now confirmed to be the eldest Winchester, confirmed.
"What the hell happened?" Sam asked.
"I, you know.. Found the game." Dean replied.
"You f--" The shaggy haired male said, clearly at a loss for words. "I thought you said you were a g-good at poker."
"I am. Shut up." The eldest hunter glared. "So, you were just gonna shoot some old guy? Is that it?"
"I didn't know what you were." Sam reasoned, still in shock that this was his brother. "I mean, have you seen you? You look like--"
"The old chick in Titanic." Dean interrupted his little brother. "I know. Shut up."
"I was gonna say Emperor Palpatine." The youngest Winchester chuckled.
The door to the room thudded open, and Bobby had wheeled himself in. "I see you both met John McCain over there." He said, closing the door.
"This can't be more embarrassing." Madelyn said with a groan, further covering herself with the sheets.
Sam quickly grabbed his jeans from off the floor and slipped it on under the covers before he stood up and handed Madelyn his flannel, standing in front of her to shield her from Dean and Bobby's eyes as she slipped into it and buttoned it up.
"Okay.. Either of you want to tell me what happened?" He asked, glancing between Dean and Bobby.
"Bobby's an idiot." Dean replied. "That's what happened."
"Hey, nobody asked you to play." Bobby argued.
"Right." The eldest Winchester responded sarcastically. "I should have just let you die."
"And for damn sure nobody asked you to lose!" The older hunter exclaimed, which made Sam grin in amusement.
"It's like Grumpy Old Men." He stated.
"Shut up, Sam." Dean and Bobby said in unison.
"What the hell were you thinking?" Dean asked, shifting his attention back to his father figure. "He's a witch. He's been playing poker since guys wore tights."
"You just don't get it." Bobby sighed.
"Yeah, I get it, Bobby. You saw a chance to turn the hands of the clock back and get out of that damn chair. Pretty tempting. I can imagine."
"No, you can't."
"You got me." The eldest Winchester responded. "I've never been paralyzed. But I tell you something - I've been to hell, and there's an archangel there wanting me to drop the soap. Look at me! My junk's rustier than yours! You hear me bellyaching? Huh?"
