Chapter 2

Yall I'm so sorry it took so long for this second chapter to come out 😭 I've been busy with a lot and I kept forgetting to finish this.

I realize I should have mentioned this in the first chapter, but some parts aren't gonna match up with the original story so that I can fit Y/n into it. I'll try my best to keep that to a minimum though!

I woke up to a sock being thrown at my head.

"WAKE UP Y/N!!!"

I shot up threw the sock back at Sokka.

"What's your problem? Calm down." I rubbed my tired eyes awake and proceeded to flop back down onto the ground, hiding my face in my arms.

"We're each choosing somewhere to go for a mini vacation! We have to get going."

I groaned and rolled onto my stomach, only to feel the earth under me shoot up and drop back down, letting me crash down onto the ground.

I let out a small 'oof' as I hit the ground.

"Get up Ms. Princess we don't have all day." Toph spoke.

"Don't call me that!" I threw a small rock on the ground at her, just to find it flying back at me to hit me in the forehead.

"Ouch!" I held my head in my hands and rubbed it in an attempt to sooth the pain.

'Forgot she was an earthbender'

'As if she didn't just shoot me in the air with the ground'

I stood up and trudged my way over to Appa, who stood on the ledge outside the cave and let out a happy groan when I pet his face.

I copied Katara as I climbed onto his saddle and rested my head against the edge of it. When everyone was finally in their spots, I began.

"So how do you get him to fl-"

"Appa, yip yip!" Aang cut me off and suddenly Appa took off into the air without an issue.

"Woah!" I grasped the edge of the saddle so I didn't fall off.

"Warn a girl next time won't ya?" I yelled. Toph and Katara giggled as Aang looked back over his shoulder. "Sorry!" He gave an awkward apologetic smile and turned his head back to the front.

I rolled my eyes and huffed a small laugh, before dropping backwards and enjoying the wind that hit my face as we flew through the air.

Katara was the first one to pick where to go, she chose some place called 'Misty Palms Oasis' she said it sounded "refreshing" and apparently Aang has been there. He described it as a "Pristine natural ice spring"

What a disappointing sight.

"Must've changed ownership since I was here...heh..." Aang gave an awkward smile before walking through the entrance, the others following behind him.

I rubbed my eyes and let out a sigh before following. Just as I walked through, the sign hanging from above gave in and crashed right where I was just standing, startling everyone.

The oasis, if you can even call it that, looked almost nothing like the picture on the map.

There were small huts scattered around the small circle with a melting block of ice in the middle, and a dog licking it like a goat licks a salt block.
