Playing Pretend (Pablo Gavi)

Chapter 19

The public didn't know about Carolina and Gavi being together but their teammates did, so there was no need to hide when they were with them.

"And we made it to the stadium", said Fermín, who was driving his friends to the Johan Cruyff Stadium for Carolina's match.

Carolina got out of the car and stopped by the copilot's door. She opened it and Gavi turned to sit on the edge of the seat, facing her so they could kiss.

And kiss they did...they kissed for so long that Fermín just looked the other way and stared at the wall waiting for them to be done.

"Guys. The match has to be played today".

Carolina broke the kiss and noticed Fermín not looking at them so she turned Gavi's face with her hand so he could see it too.

"I thought you wanted us to be together, Fer".

"Yeah, but I don't need to see you having sex in my car".

"It was just a kiss", pointed out Gavi, getting out of the car.

"When a girl kisses me like that, it doesn't stay at just a kiss, brother".

Carolina shook her head and pecked Gavi's lips again before kissing Fermín's cheek and heading to the dressing room. She was so happy to have them both supporting her at the match.

While they were warming up, she could see all the kids that were asking Gavi for photos. So people would have already found out he was there too. There was a part of Carolina that feared the reactions to that.

"Ready to see your superstar girlfriend play?", whispered Fermín when they could sit down after attending the fans.

"She's on the bench".

Carolina was still getting her form back after her injury so she didn't start the match.

"She'll play in the second half".

And she did. She played and immediately changed the match that had been a bit harder for Barça than usual. The stadium erupted in cheers after Carolina gave Aitana an incredible assist so she could score the winning goal.

"Don't get jealous", said Fermín and Gavi frowned.

"Jealous of what?"

"Of Aitana".

Gavi just shook his head and kept clapping the players. When Aitana scored, she ran towards Carolina and jumped into her arms. Before the game restarted, she also kissed Carolina's cheek to thank her for the assist again.

Of course Gavi wasn't jealous...but he also wished it was him hugging and kissing Carolina then. And all the time, really. They were clearly on the just got together phase of their relationship and they couldn't keep their hands off each other for long.

"And we won!", exclaimed Fermín, getting up to join the other fans in clapping the players after a tough match. "You're being too obvious".

"What?"

"You just keep following Caro with your eyes and smiling like an idiot".

"I'm not doing that".

But he was. And so he saw Carolina walking around the pitch, taking photos with the fans. One of them had a banner asking for her shirt. It was held by a little girl who couldn't be older than 7. Carolina took her shirt off and gave it to the girl before hugging her to try and get her to stop crying.

"And now you're drooling. Let's go before you run to the pitch to kiss her like you did earlier".

Fermín walked Gavi to the dressing room so they could wait outside for Carolina. But it was someone else who walked out of it first.
