"Chloe, have you seen my shoe?" Red exclaimed as she stood up, peering underneath her bed. It was 9:30 am currently which means the two girls were beyond late.

Chloe immediately sprang into action, scanning every corner of the room in a frantic attempt to locate Red's missing shoe. The minutes were ticking away, and the urgency of finding the shoe before they were late hung in the air.

"I can't believe we slept in!" Red shouted as she grabbed her bed sheets and threw them slightly, frustration evident on her face. Ever since Chloe had offered Red to sleep in her bed, the girls had developed a habit of sharing the bed. However, today they somehow managed to turn off Chloe's alarm three times, causing them to oversleep and be late.

The two girls hastily scurried around the room, with Chloe searching for her missing shoe while struggling to put on her top, and Red hopping around anxiously. "Found it!" Chloe exclaimed triumphantly, waving the found shoe in the air before tossing it over to Red, who quickly slipped it on with gratitude.

Later, Red arrived at her art lesson and took a deep breath before entering the room. However, her hopes for a peaceful class were dashed as the teacher immediately launched into a tirade, berating her for her tardiness.

It had been a tough week for Red, and it seemed like her old rebellious nature was resurfacing. More back talk, more slacking off, and an increasing self-destructive streak. The teacher's reprimand only added to her frustration, and it was clear that her reputation as the daughter of the Queen of Hearts preceded her.

"I lost my shoe," Red mumbled as she made her way to her desk, noticing the wary glances and whispered comments from her classmates. The teacher, with a sarcastic tone, quipped, "Okay, Cinderella. Where did you pick up that excuse, Chloe Charming?" before swiftly assigning Red detention with Uma after school.

Stunned by the unfair punishment, Red exclaimed, "Uma?! I haven't done anything wrong! Why am I being sent to the principal's office?!" Her outburst was met with a firm response from the teacher, leaving Red feeling defeated as she slumped into her seat, longing for this nightmare to come to an end. At that point, she would have preferred to relive the nightmare she had experienced the previous week.

It was around lunchtime when Chloe caught up to Red and suggested they eat outside at a picnic table.

"How was art?" Chloe asked, noticing how quiet Red had been for the past few hours.

"I got detention with Uma," Red said with a sarcastic smile, waving her hands in the air with fake joy.

"Same," Chloe said, looking down at her feet.

"Wait, seriously?" Red turned her head so fast that Chloe was shocked she didn't get whiplash.

"Well, kinda. My teacher said I have a meeting with her after school. The other teachers had spoken to her, and she arranged a meeting," Chloe explained, unsure why she was being called to see Uma.

"Hopefully it's nothing bad," Chloe said to herself.

"Hm, well, I'm going to skip the rest of the day and then go to Uma. I can't be bothered with everyone staring and talking about me, let alone every teacher thinking I'm up to something if anything goes wrong," Red sighed, rubbing her temples. Chloe knew better than to argue because, on Friday, she had this same conversation with Red. When she began arguing and trying to convince Red to stay in lessons, it ended in Red storming away and not returning until later in the night.

"Mkay," Chloe said quietly, humming as she ate some of her food.

After lunch like Red said she would the girl made her way into her dorm and sat down at her desk.
