as chloe and red stepped into the school it became real. chloe looked around finally getting a real chance to just look at everything around her. on the tour last week the blue haired girl was more focused on how her and red had lived 30 years in a few minutes just to re do it all.

"do you know the way?" red asked walking through the halls touching random painting and tables with fancy vases. the lack of heart inspired furniture and decorative objects was like a breath of fresh air for red. she was so captivated by a photo of king ben and mal she almost forgot about the burning pain aching in her arm. almost.

"yeah i'm pretty sure i do?" chloe laughed awkwardly as she pulled red away from the photo. the blue haired girl was looking down at her phone trying to navigate through the halls.

"it's here." red pointed to a room with the numbers '101' on it. chloe nodded while walking up to the door and swinging it open slightly.

chloe just smiled in awe at the lightly decorated room it had two double beds the frames reaching high, pink almost transparent curtains the walls looking fancy but to chloe that was just normal this room would be homey for her if she swapped the pink for blue.

red on the other hand had already walked inside the large dorm touching things like in the corridor. everything intrigued red right now. she loved everything about the room. it might have been due to her mothers lack of presence with pinks browns no hearts no gloomy tinted windows no insanely confusing things scattered around she could spend years looking at hoping to finally understand a fragment of her mothers mind.

"it's nice right?" chloe came up behind red who was touching one of the two bed frames feeling the oak wood and soft bedding.

"i like it a lot." red turned to look at chloe who was staring at her with a soppy expression. she was happy that red seemed happy she was happy red was smiling.

"which bed do you want?" red asked although both the beds where identical she wasn't sure if chloe was picky on where she slept. her mother was like that the queen needed to be sleeping so the sun shone in a certain way although in wonderland the sun could never seem to reach high enough to pass the large castle which meant red was constantly moving around her mothers bed trying to get the perfect angle.

"well i don't mind they're the same but i'll take the one by the door. i get up a lot in the night for drinks and i don't want to walk past you a lot and wake you." red nodded placing her carrying bag onto her new normal not heart shaped bed which she was insanely happy about she could never find a comfortable way to sleep on her bed is she moved to the left one foot would be dangling off to the right it was the same problem but if she slept in the middle her feet had to be very close at the top of the heart so red ended up sleeping in a small ball everynight.

"what classes have you got?" chloe jumped onto her own bed pulling out a sheet of paper with her lessons printed on.

"erm.." red pulled out the same type of paper unlike chloes hers was crumpled into a ball in her jacket pocket. the girl slowly opened it up cautious not to rip it as she did so.

"history of auradon. chemistry. life skills. magical history. bad fairy's and art." red finished looking at chloe who was looking down at the paper.

"we share chemistry magical history bad fairy's and life skills." the princess beamed happy that her friend was in at least 2 classes with her.

the day went on normal a lot of unpacking and moving things around although red was struggling to move her arm to pick things up she hid it well. the girl wasn't a stranger to hiding emotional pain and she did well hiding her physical pain aswell.

when the unpacking was finished both girls collapsed onto their separate beds huffing as they fell down finally getting to feel the bouncy mattress underneath them.
