"How do you know all this? Why do you know about my evil spirit? I mean, my stand. I don't get it." Jotaro exhaled, annoyed that he did not understand his grandfather. "This has to do with the Joestar family..." Joseph started to explain his family tree and history, about a coffin that was found and the story about a man called Dio.
My fist clenched at the sound of his name, my whole body reacting as if I was electrocuted. I shared a glance with Avdol, recalling his previous encounter with that atrocious man. Questions without answers swirled around my mind about the mysterious man and his abilities.
"Are you listening?! Your face makes it look like you couldn't care less!"
Okay, that brought me down to reality. Joseph was not talking to me but to Jotaro and I rubbed the back of my head embarrassed from tuning out. "Your, name is Avdol right? I don't know who you think you are, but sure you are a bigheaded."
"Watch your tongue." I finally irrupted, my anger evident on my face as I slammed my hand on the table. "We literally came from around the world, just for you to act like an asshole, get it together." The whole shop went quiet and looked towards our table, but I was too angered to be bothered by it.
"Do you believe this shit?" He asked not bothered by my words. "Do you expect me to believe that this Dio guy who died a hundred years ago came back from the dead after being at the bottom of the ocean?!" His glare sent chills down my spine. I was angry, furious.
Jotaro was agitated, more confused than ever by the whole situation. Why on earth did he have to deal with such weird people and he only seemed to get himself in trouble when it came to deal with any situation. At some point he even thought he was cursed due to his luck. Trouble always followed him closely, stalking him even. All he wanted to do was stand up and leave this goddamn shop, go back to his house and get some proper sleep after showering, not daring to think again about this whole mess he got himself into.
Avdol hummed, calm as usual to our argument before making his point. "But is it really any less believable than the evil spirits that you and I have?" He made an expression, gave Jotaro a tranquil smile. It scared me how Avdol could stay collective even in the worst situation. I wish I could do that too.
Joseph flexed his stand ability, destroying an expensive camera, but creating a photograph, of a man as tall and mascular as the men in the table were. An eerie aura had the blond male as his whole back was on display for us to see, with a birthmark of a star on shoulder, close to the nape of his neck. The only thing visible of his face was his amber eye, giving you a nasty look.
I looked the photo giving the man in it the same look he bore, a mean stare.
"... And look the back of his neck! From below the neck that rotten bastards body is that of my grandfather, Jonathan Joestar!!" Joseph screamed. Jotaro's reaction was touching his neck, rubbing the same spot as the birthmark that was shown in the photo. Joseph explained the story of the birthmark being passed from one Joestar to another and showed his.
So that's why he was rubbing his neck.
When we got home it was already afternoon. Holly made the guest rooms giving us time also to change for dinner. I wore some long loose shorts and a big T-shirt, rubbing my eyes, thinking about what the hell just happened today, but a knock on the door made me snap out of my trance.
I was surprised to see Jotaro Kujo in front of my door so much I didn't even heard the question he asked. Now up close, with surely better lighting I could study his features. Blue ocean eyes, bright like the sea, tan and clear skin, sharp jawlines and keen eyes like a hawk watching its pray. He was handsome alright. He raised an eyebrow when I didn't answer him. "Did you hear what I said?"
