Liv Morgan's POV
I am determined to do what's right and Raquel thinks I'm crazy. No, actually everyone thinks I'm a lunatic for even wanting to help Dominik. Sure he is a criminal and he's done bad but he didn't commit murder.

And all the bad stuff he did, he was just easily misguided. He fall into the wrong crowd. He's still very sweet.

Right now, I'm driving down to Oak City with Sonya. I told her more about my work with Dominik and even though she thought I was crazy, she was willing to help me no matter what.

"So what's your idea of coming to Oak City Liv?" Sonya asked me.

"To go where it all started. I already talked with Aalyah last night and she agreed to invite me over to her house. Her father Rey is there too so I can have a few words with him." I admitted to Sonya.

"You're really going through with this. You actually want to clear Dominik's name." She says to me.

"Of course. I know he's innocent. I mean you read the case. No evidence that he did it. The judge deemed him guilty because they hate Dominik." I said. "Turn here. We are close to the address." I tell her and Sonya does.

"Dominik's case is so mysterious that's it's gonna take months to find a suitable suspect." Sonya reminds me.

"I'm hoping to know about who Dominik's mom interacted with before her death. I'm sure Dominik's sister and dad could tell us." I said to her.

The gps said we have arrived at our destination, parking in front of this beautifully huge house in front of us. Me and Sonya walked up to the front door and rang the doorbell. The door opened, revealing Aalyah in front of us.

I smiled.

"Dr Morgan, please come in." Aalyah invited me in.

"Thank you for Inviting us into your home today." I said to her.

"No, I'm glad you're here. When you called me and told me you plan on helping Dom get out of prison, I knew instantly that there was someone who believed my brother is a good person still." She says to me.

"I know for a fact he's innocent. I spent so much time with Dominik that I know he loves and cares for his mother. He told me." I admitted.

"I know but my dad is really disappointed in him. Dom really fucked up and now my dad doesn't trust him anymore." She tells me.

"Where is your dad?" I asked her.

"In the living room." She tells me.

I follow her to the living room see the television on with a small man slouching on the couch with a beer in his hand.

"Dad? Dr. Morgan is here." Aalyah calls out to her dad.

Her father looks at me without a reaction for a moment. Before long, Dominik's father stands up and walks towards me. I didn't know Dominik's father was short and Dominik is like so tall.

It really is strange.

"Good morning Mr. Gutierrez, I'm Dr. Morgan. Your Son's therapist." I introduced myself.

"And I'm detective Deville." Sonya introduced herself.

"Nice to meet you both. Please have a seat." He invites us to sit and we do.

"Mr. Gutierrez, I've been with Dominik for serval weeks and he's been doing extremely well in our sessions but for what I evaluated from him is he's suffering from Stockholm syndrome. He developed it in his early adult stage and he currently has some sort of PTSD for his nightmares. Causing a trauma from his mother's death." I explained to Dominik's dad.

"I agree with the doctor. I read Dominik's case and there is no evidence that he took his own mother's life. I strongly believe the judge deemed him guilty out of pure dislike of your son. His attorney didn't even bother to defend him properly. So I'm willing to get my team and investigate this throughly and probably." Sonya said.

"My roommate is a really good lawyer and she has agreed to reopen Dominik's case. I'm going to do whatever I can to help Dominik and get him out. The real killer is still out there and I'm doing my best to bring back the son you once had Mr. Gutierrez. Dominik is still good." I said as I promised.

"You really believe you can bring my son back to me Doctor?" Mr. Gutierrez asked me.

"Yes and I will." I answered him.

"Thank you for helping my son and thank you for believing in him when I didn't. I was so angry with him and disappointed in his actions that I completely gave up. I feel like such a bad father." He said, putting his head down in shame.

"Don't blame yourself too much Mr. Gutierrez. We can still write the wrong and fix things. With all this support for Dominik, he can see that there are people who genuinely care to see him happy. I want that for him." I admitted.

Mr. Gutierrez nodded as he wiped his face with the tears that was falling down his face. Aalyah went over to her dad and rubbed his back to try to comfort him.

"I don't know what to say. I'm truly grateful for all of this. All I want is my son back. Dominik was such a good boy. I'm glad you're trying to fix him." Mr. Gutierrez cries even more.

I'm sad for him and I'm sad too. This whole family been through so much loss and pain already.

After the discussion, me and Sonya leave Dominik's family house to let them process everything and that there is still hope.

"Poor family." Sonya breaks the silence. We were heading back into the car together.

"I know." I said.

"I'll head back to my office in the morning and come back here for investigation. Hopefully some of the neighbors know something." Sony tells me and I nodded and sat inside the passenger seat.

As we drive off I see a small girl peeping her head behind a tree. She had a black hoodie on and she looked quite suspicious.

How odd?
