Liv Morgan's POV
"You told your mom what?" Raquel questioned me as she laughs.
"I told her I'm already seeing someone." I sighed.
"With who? Why would you even lie like that. Now your mom is gonna wanna find out who you've been dating." Raquel continues to laugh at me. If I were here, I laugh too.
But I'm so fucking stressed the fuck out that I can't even think straight. I want my mom out of my hair so bad and lying to her was gonna stop her from stop setting me up on blind dates.
"Well I made up another lie saying he lives in like California and we been doing long distance." I said.
"Hold up that's not a bad lie. I mean you still need to show proof you've actually been talking to a guy and how he looks like. He has to actually be someone who exists and a person you know." She explains to me.
I run my fingers through my hair in stress as this all seemed so simple in my head but the lies and the pretending is gonna get even worse.
"I'm such an idiot Raquel." I insult myself.
I might as well slam my head on a wall and give myself a concussion.
"Let's simply take your mind off our your pretend boy drama and focus on another task at hand. Which is Dominik's case." She tells me as she shows me a folder.
I take it from her and opened it rather quickly.
"YOU GOT IT REOPENED?!?" I shouted.
Raquel nodded and my smile grew even bigger.
"Oh my goodness."
"My boss at work thought I was a crazy to even reopen this case. Actually the entire law firm thought I was but I'm doing this all for you." Raquel lets me know.
"You have no idea I'm truly grateful I am for this. Sonya's been working on clues with her team all week." I admitted.
"Has she found anything yet?" She asked me.
"Sadly no but I do remember something strange that day when I went to Dominik's parents house." I mentioned.
"What was it?" She questioned, wanting to know more.
"A girl with a hoodie, hiding behind a tree by a house. I was confused but she gave me this....skeptical look." I said as I remembered her.
"Strange. You should find that girl. Maybe she lives there. Sonya and you could find her." Raquel suggested and I nodded and thought that idea wasn't bad.
It doesn't hurt to ask or find out.
**********
I contacted Sonya and explained to her that I saw a strange girl by a house near a tree. She agreed to check it out with me and we are doing near Oak City in Dominik's parent's neighborhood once again.
"It's a good thing you told about this Liv. I was finding nothing for a whole week. I checked the street cams and everything seemed wiped. I was getting worried." Sonya admitted to me.
"Yeah but I need to say something. Raquel suggested we find this girl and asked questions." I admitted.
"Well let's see what this girl knows about the Mysterio's." Sonya said.
Sonya parks in front of the house that I described.
"This is it?" She asked and I nodded.
"Yep. Same house." I answered.
Walking towards the door as we ring the door bell as we waited. After some minutes the door opens and only an eye pop out.
"Y-Yes?" A soft but thick accent answered.
"Hello, I'm Sonya Deville a Detective. I work with the police. May we come in and have a few words please?" Sonya introduces herself and shows off her badge.
"Um.....I didn't do anything." The voice says to us.
"We didn't say you did. We just want to talk and answer a few questions." She says to her.
"Please let us in. We promise you're not in trouble." I stepped in and said.
The door opens wider, revealing what she looks like. Despite how shy she is, she looks about around my age and she has long dark black hair. She lets us in as me and Sonya walked inside her house.
"Please have a seat over there." She tells us and me and Sonya do. "I'll be back with some waters." She says.
After she returns with the waters, we literally sit in silence for the first 5 minutes.
"Ahem uhh, we just wanted to ask you a few questions. What's your name ma'am?" Sonya asked her.
"Lyra Valkyria." She introduces to us.
"You sound Irish? Are you from Ireland?" I asked her.
"Yes." She answers me.
"Lrya, are you familiar with Dominik Mysterio?" Sonya just jump right into the questions.
"I know of him." She admits to us. "Actually, I know his mother very well. She was a nice lady." Lrya told us.
"Tell me more about Dominik's mom? If you can Lrya." Sonya asked her.
"Angie was really nice to pretty much all the neighbors. One time when my cat was really sick, Angie volunteered to drive us to the vet when i couldn't." She tells us more about Dominik's mother.
"What happened on that night of her death?" Sonya asked the big question.
Lrya doesn't say anything but instead I see her clenching her fist into her skirt. I saw the tears building up in her eyes.
"She.......She told me if I said anything, she would kill me." Lyra was shaking in fear, tears streaming down her face.
"Who's she?" I asked her, getting closer to Lrya as I place my hand over her clenched fist.
"She said she will kill my whole entire family if I said anything." Lrya's lips shivered, her tears still falling down even harder.
"Tell us who she is and we promise to protect your entire family. I'll request and send forces to your parents to protect them. I promise that no one you love will die as long as you told us who actually shot Dominik's mother." Sonya promises as she got closer to her, rubbing Lyra's back to calm her down.
"That evil goth girl from the judgement day." Lyra finally admits. "I saw her and this really tall man with long braids down his back and the other guy standing by the car. I saw them pushing Angie as they slap her around to give up son to them. But Angie had a a knife and ended up stabbing one of them and I saw that Goth girl aiming at Angie's head, shooting her in the head. They ran off but I saw everything through my window. That woman knew I was watching. Then Dominik came home just seconds after and the neighbors deemed him the real killer. Arresting him and I was so helpless to step up and say anything because I was so scared I was gonna be next." She explained the whole entire incident to me and Sonya.
