He was suddenly aware of his name being called and sat up quickly.
Iris was standing outside his door shouting to him.

"Lin. Sorry, any preference with white or red? Which will Jon prefer?"

He rubbed his eyes roughly, grabbed a towel and wrapped it round his waist. Opening the door he looked at her.
"Jon isn't coming. Family emergency. He sends his apologies."

"Oh no! That's a shame. I'll put this wine back then."

He looked at her in front of him. Her short black dress hugging her in all the right places.
Her hair brushed till it was shining under the lights, her lips painted red, he was momentarily transported back in time to his first proper date with Gia, their outfits scarily similar.
"No. Leave it out. We can have it. You've gone to a lot of trouble. No need for it to go to waste. In fact. Let's open it now."
He walked past her to the kitchen, she breathed in as the scent of his aftershave followed him and watched him walk in front of her just his towel covering him.

"Mmmm"

"Sorry?"
He turned back and looked at her.

"Oh! Nothing, was just thinking about the wine."

He frowned.
"Erm ok."
He turned away from her and rummaged through a drawer to find a corkscrew.

Iris took the opportunity to look at him. His back toned but not muscly, his light coffee skin still damp from the shower it glistened under the harsh kitchen lights.
The towel had moved further down, resting low on his hips. She looked at his ass, desperately wanting to run her hands over it.

"Damn it!"
He threw the corkscrew down on the counter, startling Iris out of her daydream.
Half the cork still in the bottle he ran his hands through his hair angrily. "Can't even get that right."

"Lin? Everything ok?"

He rested his hands on the counter top, his head down and sighed deeply.
"Sorry. I'm just having a bit of a week."

She took a couple of steps towards him. "Anything I can help with?"

He laughed quickly and looked at her over his shoulder.
"Not unless you can rewind time and make my wife change her decision to have an affair... God I'm sorry. It's nothing to do with you. I shouldn't be bringing you into this."

Iris looked at him in shock.
"An affair? Gia?"

He nodded and suddenly looked down. "And I also should not be standing in front of you in just a towel! What the fuck is wrong with me! I'm so sorry."

Her eyes were drawn fleetingly to his shoulders.
"Hey it's ok."

He nodded. Neither of them moving. His breathing rapid.

She frowned slightly, knowing she should move but not wanting to.

He turned round fully and leant on the counter facing her.
"You look beautiful by the way."

Her breath caught as she met his dark eyes. She looked down and brushed a lock of hair behind her ear.
"Thank you, I suppose I should go and get changed now it's just us."
Her hair fell in front of her face again.

Lin moved towards her, lifted his hand to her cheek and gently brushed it back with his thumb. She gasped, taken by surprise. Her nerve endings tingling.
"Erm, you hungry?"

He nodded. Staring at her.
"Yeah. Very."
His voice dropped and he answered slowly.
"Not for food though."

Iris stepped back.
"Lin, I don't think..you're married... I know you're having problems, and frankly I think Gia must have lost her mind to cheat on you, but regardless. You're married."
