Gia walked into the apartment and threw her jacket down. It landed with a thud on the floor. A space where the couch used to be.
She raised her eyebrows and picked it up.

Lin appeared from the bedroom and walked towards her looking worried. "How was it. Are you ok? Are you sore? What happens next? What can I do? I've run you a bath."

Gia laughed.
"Hey! Slow down! It was fine. I didn't need any exams today, we just finalised a date."

He took her jacket off her and hung it up.

She looked at him.
"The bath sounds like a fabulous idea though."

"Ok, I'll let you relax. I'll watch tv for a bit."

He pulled up a stool from the kitchen and sat in front of the tv.

Gia couldn't help but laugh.
"We need a couch. Tomorrow!"

She walked into the bathroom and smiled, candles all round the room, bubbles in the bath and her book on the side.
She slid in and sighed, picking it up.
Without warning the tears started.
"What the fuck?!"
She tried to stop them but eventually gave in and let them flow.

Lin turned the tv down and frowned as he listened to her sobbing.
He quickly walked to the bathroom and knocked on the door.
"Gia? Are you ok? Can I come in?"

She splashed water on her face quickly, desperately trying to get control.
"Yes."

He walked in and kneeled down level with her.
"Does it hurt?"

She shook her head.
"No, no it's not that. She looked at the concern on his face and the tears started again. Unable to stop them she pressed her hands over her eyes. Her shoulders shaking.
"Oh God Lin. I could've lost you...."

"No."
He moved her hands away from her carefully and held her face in his hands.
"The only way I would've gone would have been if you were seeing someone else, and even then it would've broken my heart. Please believe me. I'm not going anywhere."

"But Iris could give you kids Lin. I won't be able to do that now."

"I don't want kids with Iris! Or anything else for that matter. I just want you. Gia please. Stop crying. Please. You know I can't bear to see you cry. I can't stand it even more when I know it's all my fault."
He moved his head to hers and kissed her hesitantly.

Gia lifted her hands out of the water and put them on his neck, pulling him to her soaking his t shirt.
She ran her tongue over his lips gently and whispered.
"Stop that."

He frowned and kneeled back looking at her.
"Stop what?"

"Biting your lip. You're making it sore."

He smiled.
"Sorry, I'll try."

"You only do it when you're anxious."

He nodded.
"I know, I can't help it."

She stood up and climbed out of the bath. Lin passed her a towel and watched as she dried her hair with it.
He smiled as he watched her.

"What?"

"You're so beautiful Gia."

She sighed.
"Getting grey hairs and saggy parts now."

"I don't see them."

"You're just being polite."
She walked out of the bathroom and into their bedroom.

Lin carried on.
"I'm not just being polite. You were beautiful 12 years ago and you're just as beautiful now. I love you so much."
