"Kace! I'm home!" yelled Bri. "Where are you?"
"In the kitchen!" yelled Kaci back. "Hey! How was the weekend getaway?"
"Weekend getaway in a hotel in Iowa," laughed Bri, putting down her bag and slumping down in a chair at their island. Kaci was sat in one of the chairs, putting finishing touches on a video of the Iowa open practice. "How was your weekend? Meetup with anyone?"
Kaci was wide eyed, her eyes still trained on her computer screen. Her fingers slowly stopped moving across her computer.
"Huh? What?"
"Jeez, Kace," laughed Bri, putting a hand on her sister's shoulder. "I meant like any of your friends here. Like the ones you have other than Jo. I'm not asking if you went on a date with anyone!"
Kaci breathed a sigh of relief, but kept it not obvious for her sister to realize. Bri was laughing, and Kaci started to laugh as she was shaking away her sudden panic.
"Oh. Well no then," said Kaci, with a shaky laugh. "I just went out exploring home again. How was the tournament?"
Kaci wanted to redirect the conversation away from her weekend doings, just in case she would get too nervous and let something slip. She didn't need that right now.
"It was good, you know how All Iowa Attack is, they're always good," said Bri. "How'd the video go?"
"It turned out really well, I just have to shoot it over to Lisa and have someone on the social media team approve of it to post," said Kaci with a smile.
