The next day, Kaylee was set to follow Brian's advice and not give up. She decided to tackle the hardest part of this process, which would be to work around the photos she had taken at the beach. They weren't great, but Kaylee had a strong mindset today and so it would be a good challenge. Make something better of a crappy photo.

She logged into her favorite application in her computer and brought out her note pad. She scrolled through yesterday's photos, trying to pick up the least worst of them, and when she was happy with her choice, which was actually a guy tumbling into the wave, she dragged the photo to the application.

Kaylee stared at it for a while, the wheels in her brain working as she figured out what to do with it. She didn't have a clear idea.

Not waiting for a divine moment of inspiration or a miracle, Kaylee grabbed the pen of the writing pad and started experimenting on the photo. She kept telling herself not to worry about the outcome too much. She was just starting. The focus was to have fun. She had to remember that constantly.

As the design flew, Kaylee slowly forgot her worries and enjoyed the process of it. Not thinking about it, just doing it, whatever it took.

She wasn't at it for long, but at the end of it, she looked at the result and felt relieved. It definitely wasn't her best work, but at least she had done something. Lacking inspiration and motivation, she still did it and that brought an inner peace to her. She felt proud.

Kaylee saved her work and loaded another picture. She began to work on it with a different approach.

Without realizing, 2 hours had gone by and Kaylee was actually surprised. The need to switch on her lights was the only clue she had that it had darkened outside. Time had flown.

Kaylee decided to call it a day. It had been much better than she had first thought. She took a crappy picture of her work with her phone and sent it to Brian, who didn't take long to respond.

It's actually not that bad, he replied. The three dots appeared again in the chat box, meaning Brian was writing again. I'm proud of you, the text came and right after it, a heart.

Kaylee smiled, her heart fluttering.

The more Kaylee worked on her designs the easier it got and more ideas came to her mind on how to do things. She began to feel that inner passion she felt before, before everything changed. Kayle felt like she was waking up from a very bad dream and things weren't as bad as she thought.
