Hey, Kaylee!Thank you so much for your email! And sorry for not messaging you sooner. I did not expect you to actually send your works to me ahah They look amazing btw! I will definitely forward this email to my friend in UDesign. He'll scream!I'll let you know what he told me.ByeGlenn

Kaylee stared at Glenn's email with her heart beating fast in her chest.

It had been a few days since she had gathered her favorite recent designs and worked up the courage to send them to her co-worker Glenn. When he hadn't replied right away, her hope had faltered down a little and all sorts of doubts filled her head.

Maybe Glenn's friend didn't think her work was good enough; maybe she wasn't worth the trouble of even getting a reply; maybe it had all been a joke and Glenn was laughing his ass off staring at her designs.

To top it off, Kaylee hadn't encountered Glenn at the office those following days, and so forcing him to face her had not been a possibility.

At last the reply came, and after a spike of adrenaline running through her veins, Kaylee could finally breathe in relief. She wasn't surprised with Glenn's loose, informal speech throughout the email. It's not like they were carrying a professional exchange of opinions. It made her smile.

That tiny bit of hope it would be Artsy Company was crashed after Kaylee laid eyes on UDesign name, disappointment briefly coursing through her. However, she wouldn't let this dishearten her.

Opening her browser on her computer, Kaylee googled UDesign. It was a small Company based in Georgia state. Their biggest works were on street art and murals, some of the designs breathtaking. Despite never daring to try any of those styles, the aesthetic differences to what Kaylee usually did were slim. It definitely resembled her own designs but in a much larger scale.

How cool would it be to have one of her works displayed on a huge wall somewhere with her signature on it?

With a dreamy sigh, Kaylee closed the page. It didn't really matter at this point whether or not she imagined herself doing this in the future. Glenn hadn't even shown anything to his friend, so until that happened it was foolish to daydream. Chances were she would end up heartbroken.Regardless of it all, Kaylee texted Brian. She had to tell him.

Brian replied almost instantly and he was just as excited as she was and much more positive.

Brian always boosted her confidence, which was in part extremely comforting, but at the same time terrifying, because hope could as easily crumble as it had appeared.
