Draco Malfoy was slumped on the bed, staring without seeing.
It was the day of his discharge and he was waiting for Snape to come for him.
A tray with a bowl of soup and three loaves of bread was at the side untouched.
The teenage boy was hungry but he didn't want to eat. In fact, he hadn't eaten since he woke, and that was since yesterday. He'd not drank any water either but he did not care. The guilt, anger and regret rolled all over in him like a bouncing ball.
He'd heard the news yesterday from Snape about his mother. She'd become insane.
What made everything more painful for Draco was that he didn't know what he'd done at that particular moment.
Or it was not at that particular moment that infuriated his father. Previous, numerous offences he'd done. The acts of weakness, defying his father's wishes...what did I do?
Draco felt his eyes burn but he wiped his eyes before the tears could spill down. He was a man. Tears were for the weak. That's what Lucius had taught him.
And he should have listened. He should have followed him. If not for that he wouldn't be here. His mother would not go insane.
His father was in Azkaban. Draco didn't care. In fact, he felt relieved. That wicked man he got as a father will torment not torment him again.
Now that he had nobody around where would he go? What would become of him? Somehow that thought frightened him - not having a planned life, being left to do what he wanted.
Or Snape would take him in. He definitely would. It would not be that nice but at least he would have a place.
Or maybe Blaise's place. Draco didn't have  problem with that either.
The door opened. Draco looked up to see Snape step into the room.
    ' morning,' Snape greeted.
'Let's go.' Draco said, intentionally not greeting him. There eas nothinf good about the morning.
Snape diverted his eyes from the boy to the food on the tray. 'You haven't had any food?'
'I'm not hungry.' Draco said. 'Let us move.'
'Draco, I am under the impression that you are a patient, and that anything that will make you feel better -'
'I am fine. At my best even.' Draco said but didn't sound like it. Then he slumped down from the bed and stood on his feet.
He regretted it instantly. Dizziness swept over him. He would have fallen flat on his face had Snape not been with him.
Snape carried the boy and settled him on the bed.
    'Fine indeed.' Snaper said sarcastically.
'It does not matter, Severus. I want to be out of here. Now.' Draco complained.
'Not until you finish that.' Snape nodded at the bowl of soup and the loaves of bread.
Draco knew Snape well enough to know that he'd live up to his word. So he pushed himself onto the bed, grabbed the bowl of soup and, looking at Snape with every bit of annoyance, drank the soup.
After a number of puking sessions, the boy managed to drink the whole bowl of soup and managed a loaf of bread. And honestly, Draco felt a little better and had a little strength in him.
The two stepped out of St. Mungo's and into the broad daylight. Draco couldn't have been happier.
'So where are we heading?' Draco asked the man.
    'You will see.'

*******

Why are we doing this again, Mom?' Harry asked Lily as the two spread the brown bedsheets across the bed.
    'We have...a guest.' Lily answered.
Then James appeared at the door, bundles of white towels trailing behind him. 'This visitor sounds pretty...suspicious, don't you think?'
Lily gave James a dirty look. James grinned. 'Just saying.'

Lily has gotten James and Harry to clean the room next to Harry's for the new visitor. They'd woken at seven and have been working on the room for the past two hours. Lily knew of the visitor but James and Harry didn't. The visitor would arrive in about -

  Ding Dong!
'Harry, go and get the door.' Lily ordered instantly.
    Harry wasted no time.

Snape and Draco appeared in front of the manor.
Draco frowned at the manor. It looked familiar, like he'd seen it somewhere before.
'Where are we?' Draco asked as the duo walked towards the manor. 'This isn't your place.'
'Remain quiet and follow me.' Snape said.
The two of them wald through the entrance gates and into the gardens. The gardens were very beautiful, much like the ones in his house. A fountain shot out clear water in the middle if the garden.
They climbed five steps up before coming in front of the entrance gates.
Snape pressed the doorbell and it rang.
In all that Draco was just watching the place and thinking where he'd seen this place.
Then the door opened. Standing in the doorway was...Harry Potter.
