THE COLD AIR BRUSHED past Layla quickly, causing a shiver to run down her spine and her teeth to chatter. She quickly grabbed Spencer's hand, moving closer to his body as they walked through Times Square.

Layla was extremely grateful that they were able to finally go on her dream vacation, never thinking it was going to happen after years of missing the loud and busy streets of New York, for some reason just loving everything about it.

This was the place where Layla and Indigo lived together, pursuing their Broadway dreams together, and a part of Layla's heart always stayed here. It was hard being back here without the girl who was once her best friend.

Spencer dropped her hand before wrapping an arm around her shoulders instead. As the sun was setting, it was only getting colder. Layla's stomach rumbled quietly, wanting to go and get something to eat as soon as possible.

Right now, they were headed back to the hotel, but as they passed a small restaurant, Layla grabbed his hand from off her shoulder and dragged him inside. There was a small host stand off to the side, a younger lady standing there with a smile. "Hi, welcome in. How many today?"

"Hi, just two." Layla responded, looking over at Spencer briefly with a smile.

The girl nodded, grabbing two menus off the table. "You can go ahead and follow me this way." She led them through the restaurant, over to a booth in the back corner.

The place Layla had picked was a cafe, selling breakfast and dinner 24/7. A sweet tea and pancakes was exactly what Layla was wanting despite the sun just setting, so she was glad with her choice.

With a deep breath out, Layla settled into the booth across from Spencer. He had a confused smile on his face with his head slightly tilted to the side. "We were just here this morning." He chuckled.

"I know, but I was really craving pancakes. We can go somewhere else if you want." Layla said, reaching forward and grabbing Spencer's hand.

He nodded his head no, "No, I really like it here. I was honestly getting sick of the fancy stuff anyway."

Layla gasped. "Really? Because so was I." She laughed, causing Spencer to chuckle along with her. "Maybe we can cancel all of those reservations we have for the rest of the week."

Spencer nodded, agreeing with her right as the server came up to them. They quickly put in their food and drink orders, already knowing what they wanted. Layla was happy and content with her sweet tea and chocolate chip pancakes.

Really her favorite part about this place was how much it reminded her of the good memories of growing up. There was a very similar place to this one back in her hometown, and she would go there every Sunday morning at 8AM with her family. She would always order a sweet tea or chocolate milk with pancakes and bacon. Every single weekend.

All of this was talked about this morning when they first decided to eat here. It was nice to create more memories in a space like this that brought so many good memories growing up.

Finally, they made their way back to the hotel, cold from the winter weather. Their walk was beautiful due to all the Christmas lights, but also busy because of the time of year and it being a busy city.

Layla immediately took off her coat and laid it on the desk in the room, then opened up the curtains to look at the Christmas lights. She shivered, the air conditioning being cold even though it was freezing outside.

"Do you want to take a shower first? Or do you care if I do?" Spencer asked.

Layla turned around to see him standing in the doorway of the bathroom. She nodded, going and sitting on the edge of the bed. "You can take one first. I have to take off my makeup and everything anyway."

Spencer nodded, before disappearing into the bathroom, closing the door behind him. She grabbed her pajamas out of her suitcase, setting them on the desk before waiting a few minutes then decided to go take off her makeup.

The bathroom door was unlocked, so she knocked gently before heading in. The shower water was running, and Spencer was behind the curtain, so she couldn't see him. She left the door open, "I'm just taking off my makeup real quick."

"Yeah, that's fine." Spencer said kind of loud so she could hear him over the running water.

Layla grabbed her micellar water and cotton pads, beginning to gently wipe her makeup off. She was quietly humming along to music that was playing in her head while doing so. Soon after, Spencer turned off the water, grabbing the towel off the hook and wrapping it around himself before opening the curtain and stepping out.

Layla turned around and immediately looked at the floor. "You're dripping water all over the floor." She laughed.

"I'll clean it up." Spencer smiled at her. "But you got more water on the floor last night."

She gasped, holding a hand to her chest with an exaggerated look. "That was from you! You showered first!"

Spencer nodded no, leaving the bathroom and rounding the corner. After waiting a few minutes, Layla then hopped in the shower to wash her hair, body, and face quickly. She enjoyed the heat of the water, then hated the cold air hitting her body.

Quickly, she changed into her pajamas which were just some green and blue plaid pants and Spencer's Smosh Games sweatshirt. She made her way into bed, where Spencer already was and laid beside him, cuddling close to get some warmth.

He immediately placed an arm around her shoulders, leaning into her as well. They were just watching whatever was on cable, which right now was 'Friends'. Layla was comfortable, enjoying the simple moment.

Spencer took a deep breath, his body getting tense. "I thought about you in the shower." He blurted out.

"What?" Layla sat up, and turned to him confused.

"I thought about how nice it would be to have your things with mine. In the bathroom, the kitchen, the bedroom. I don't know." Spencer took another breath, rubbing his forehead. "I just want to always wake up next to you."

Layla's gaze softened, her heart fluttering with love and joy. She smiled softly in his direction, then let out a breathy chuckle. "What are you saying?"

"I know it's so simple, but I want you to move in with me." Spencer said anxiously.

   Layla nodded, "Okay."

   "Okay?"

   "Okay."
