Chapter Five

"This is very well put together, Miss Tong." commented Lan as she surveyed the extensive work put together and was really impressed with the young woman. "You have been running both and created both on your own a few years ago?" she inquired as she looked up, locking her eyes onto the well dressed young woman before her. She was pleased and even impressed that the girl had decided to wear of pair of dark gray slacks and mint green blouse with a pair of heels to this meeting with her...unlike her own stingy ass brat whom was wearing his usual black sneakers, black jeans, white shirt and black jean jacket.

"Shì de (yes). I created them both to help out the players in this industry. The one in Korea is primarily run by someone my cousin trusts, so I do not have to worry much about that one. It is that I have here in China, I am concerned about considering the growth rate of players being disowned...is sadly I will admit is very high and seems to be growing each year." sighed Yao with a nod of her head to the older woman as her mouth thinned with displeasure.

"I have never understood that. Granted I was not a fan of either of my sons for choosing this career considering that one could in fact have his choice of any law firm to work at if he wanted to. But I would never disown either one of my brats, just because they go against what I expect of them. It's a parents job to have expectations of their children...but it is also our job to stick beside them as well. It's why I steamed rolled over everyone in my way to obtain over 64% of ZGDX, so I can protect my brats." sighed Lan with a grimace especially as she noted the newest one to be disowned was only damn 14 years old...a goddamn child...a fucking baby still that should still be leaving at home!

"I should remember those words for my own parents." commented Yao in a dry tone ignoring as she was given a look by her Captain as his mother gave her an understanding look. It was not easy to be a female and break out of the mold their parents created for them and tried to shape them into. She was only thankful that her Uncle, the father of her elder cousin Kun Hyeok and her mother's elder brother, had interfered quite a few times in defense of her. And since he was the elder of her mother's family since her grandfather had passed away? Her mother, more than half the time, bent the knee to the man.

"Let's get down to business and think of how we can get more donations for your charity. What things are you against?" asked Lan as she sat up straighter as the female became even more determined and leaned forward some on her end.

"No auctions for dates. I have been very firm on this no matter what my best friend has tried to say otherwise. I get that a lot of females out there will pay a lot of money to have dinner with an E-Sports player...however, that kind of thing has never sat well with me. Plus, there is no way to guarantee the player's protection in case someone tries to say they tried something, especially if the player turns someone down for another date." nodded Yao with a serious look on her face as the woman smirked with a pleased look but was amused as her Captain muttered hell no.
