Chapter 17: Board Meeting/Finalizing things

Summary: Plans are being made and finalized. Yao is on the mend with jumping feet first into helping move things forward, along with scaring people with her random bouts of knowledge to certain things!

Chapter Seventeen

"How are you feeling today?" inquired Ming softly as he eyed Yao as she came walking into the gaming area. Tilting his head, he eyed her complexion and noted she looked better than has this past week. The girl had more color to her face and did not look as if she were going to throw up.

"Better. Still a little fatigued but better. How is everything going since I have been laid up?" nodded Yao as she sat down in her seat in front of her monitor as she pulled over her tablet to start reviewing things that needed to be reviewed.

"Good. Everything out here since you were put on bed rest has been going well. Director Wang, Cheng and the rest of the board all agree on the ones we picked out for Sub Team B. Though, just a heads up, Cheng is still not fond of Dubhe but has agreed that despite his arrogance? He is the best for the B Team's ADC position. Yue will still do fine as the Midlaner till to the Mid we want for that team turns 15 years old." reported Ming to the female as he sat beside her and moved pulling up the stats on her monitor after she motioned him to, for her to review. "Director Wang, said only when you are back to being 100%, you can present the finalized report to them at her office along with going over anything else that needs to be gone over." he added as Yao frowned some tilting her head to the side.

"His arrogance will be knocked out of him sooner or later, by all of us at some point or another. I am a firm believer that if you are going to have arrogance, so be it. But you had better be prepared to back up that arrogance with skill, facts and talent. Plus, I wholly believe that Yue will pass his brother's challenge and will become the Sub Captain, so that means Dubhe will be in for a tough time if he does not cool his arrogance and any attitude he might have. I have seen sudden instances where Yue has acted just like Cheng-ge has acted, when he has played ranks with Pang and Pang decided to be an idiot. And if Yue can't knock the arrogance out of him? We will sit back and let Cheng-ge handle it his own way." shrugged Yao as the older Mid paused before releasing a deep chuckle at her words with a nod of his head.

"That would be almost...cruel but effective. Very effective." snorted Ming as the female shrugged with an unapologetic look on her face along with no mercy in basically throwing the kid to the wolves basically.

"Arrogance is sometimes okay to have Ming Shen, if you have earned the right to have such arrogance in the first place, like I mentioned. This kid? Has not earned that right. Playing professionally is a whole other experience and ball game than just playing at home or at gaming centers. It's why Ai Jia played with me constantly and the other reason why Student would offer me to play with them. They both knew sooner or later I would become a professional and they wanted me to have that experience." explained Yao with a serious tone as she wrote down some notes from some stats that caught her eye. However, she blinked in some startlement as a cup of hot herbal tea was placed next to her and glanced upwards briefly to meet piercing and assessing whiskey amber colored eyes.
