Fate ~Joshua FF~

It was 6pm the next day. Naryeon spent the whole day worrying about what she was going to wear to Jeonghan's birthday party that night. She had tried on every dress that she owned and they all screamed business. They were the dresses that she wore to work. Joshua suggested she text Yejin to see if she wanted to go out shopping but she turned it down. Yejin was too busy prepping for the party.

Instead,Nari went out by herself. She had left around two that afternoon and now it was six and she wasn't back yet. Joshua was sitting on a stool, leaning his head on his hand, staring at his phone that was lying on the kitchen island. She didn't answer his calls or texts, so of course he was getting worried. Did she have second thoughts about going? Did she run into her ex? He was about to call her when the front door open. He looked up and it was her.

"I'm so sorry! Traffic was terrible. There was an accident ten minutes from here so they had to reroute us. I tried to call, but my service was acting up. Did you try to call or text me? I didn't get anything if you did." Naryeon was out of breath. She placed her bags on the ground and leaned up against the kitchen island.

Joshua stood up and placed his hands on her shoulders. "Breath Nari. It's okay. Yes, I was worried but I know you can take care of yourself. Did you find a dress?" He asked.

"Yes! It took me ten dresses but I found one. What time do you want to leave? Do I have time for a quick shower?"

"Yeah, no problem. We don't need to be their at exactly 7, so we will leave around 7:15."

"Perfect, thanks Shua." She stood on her tippy toes and kissed him. "Give me 30 minutes."

She stepped back and grabbed her bags and walked to her room. He watched her go. He could tell she was trying to keep calm. He, too, was anxious about tonight. He hoped that he wouldn't have to speak to Yuri at all. But the chances of that are very slim. Joshua looked over at the kitchen clock. 6:30. He walked to his room and decided to shower as well.

It was now 7. Joshua was standing by the windows. The sun was setting. He wore blue jeans, with a black belt, a white shirt, black blazer and black shoes. The bedroom door open and he heard Naryeon walking down the hall. He turned around and gasped, his breath leaving his body. She was in an emerald green wrap dress with fluttering short sleeves. The dress is fitted, showing off her wonderful figure. The dress came down just above her knees, showing off her long legs, with black heels. She had a black, cross body purse to finish the outfit. Joshua could not stop staring. She was the most beautiful woman he has ever seen.

"Well, how do I look?" She asked, doing a little spin for him."

"You look exquisite. You literally took my breath away." He walked over to her. With her heels, she was almost the same height as him, but he still was taller by a few inches. He placed his hands on her waist and pulled her close. "I'm such a lucky guy right now. You're beautiful." He placed a small kiss on her forehead. Naryeon smiled and laid her head on his chest.

They arrived at Onyx's at 7:30. The bar was packed. There were people standing in the patio and then more inside.

"Geez, did he invite the whole town?" Naryeon chuckled.

"Looks about right. Ready?" He turned his head to look at her, holding his arm out.

She nodded her head. She placed her arm around his and they walked in. Joshua knew most of the guests here. Jeonghan's parents were near the bar, talking with Junseo. His sister, Ara and her husband. And finally, he spotted the two people he didn't want to see right away, Minho and Yuri. He looked over to Naryeon. Thankfully she didn't see them yet. He looked around and spotted Jun and Sora sitting at a booth. He nudged Naryeon and she looked up at him. Joshua nodded his head towards the booth and she looked over, understanding him. They walked over. He took a glance over his shoulder to make sure that they weren't noticed.
