The three Winchesters are standing at the receptionist desk in the hospital. Dean got admitted after he got hurt on a hunt that he and Sam went on.

"Sir, I'm so sorry to ask. There doesn't seem to be any insurance on file." The receptionist says.

"Right. Uh, okay." Sam takes his wallet out and gives her a card.

"Okay, Mr. Burkovitz." The receptionist says. Sam walks over to two cops who he was talking to. Thomas leads Rachel after him.

"Look, we can finish this up later." One cop offers.

"No, no, it's okay. We were just taking a shortcut through the neighborhood. And, um, the windows were rolled down, we heard some screaming when we drove past the house, and we stopped. Ran in." Sam says.

"And you found the kids in the basement?" The cop asks.

"Mm-hmm." Sam nods.

"Well, thank God you did." The cop says.

"Excuse me." Sam tells them, seeing the doctor make his way over.

"Sure. Thanks for your help." One of them say as the siblings walk over to the doctor.

"Hey, doc. Is he..." Sam trails off.

"He's resting." The doctor states.

"And?" Sam prompts.

"The electrocution triggered a heart attack. Pretty massive, I'm afraid. His heart... it's damaged." The doctor informs.

"How damaged?" Sam asks.

"We've done all we can. We can try and keep him comfortable at this point. But, I'd give him a couple weeks, at most, maybe a month." The doctor says.

"No, no. There's-- there's gotta be something you can do, some kind of treatment." Sam says.

"We can't work miracles. I really am sorry." The doctor says.

They walk into Dean's room and he's sitting up in bed and watching TV. He's paler than usual and there's dark circles resting under his eyes.

"Have you ever actually watched daytime TV? It's terrible." Dean says.

"We talked to your doctor." Sam says.

"That fabric softener teddy bear. Oh, I'm gonna hunt that little bitch down." Dean says.

"Dean." Sam calls.

"Yeah." Dean turns the TV off. "All right, well, looks like you're gonna leave town without me."

"What are you talking about? I'm not gonna leave you here." Sam says.

"Hey, you better take care of that car. Or, I swear, I'll haunt your ass." Dean says.

"I don't think that's funny." Sam says.

"Oh, come on, it's a little funny." Dean says. "Look, guys, what can I say? It's a dangerous gig. I drew the short straw. That's it, end of story."

"Don't talk like that, alright? We still have options." Sam says.

"What options? Yeah, burial or cremation. And I know it's not easy... but I'm gonna die. And you can't stop it. None of you can." Dean says.

"Watch me." Sam walks out of the room.

"And here comes the John trait." Thomas mutters, following his brother out, Rachel right behind him.

The three siblings have been researching for something to help Dean, one of the motel beds covered in paper. Rachel is asleep on the other bed, Sam sitting next to her while Thomas is on the couch.
