It's nighttime and they're at a bar. Dean is standing near their table and throwing darts. Sam, Rachel, and Thomas are sitting at the table and Sam's researching while drinking a beer.

"So, local police have not ruled out foul play. Apparently, there are worse signs of a struggle." Sam says.

"Well, they could be right, it could just be a kidnapping. Maybe this isn't our kind of gig." Dean says.

"Yeah, maybe not. Except for this -- dad marked the area, Dean." Sam says. "Possible hunting grounds of a phantom attacker."

"Why would he even do that?" Dean asks.

"Well, he found a lot of local folklore about a dark figure that comes out at night. Grabs people, then vanishes. He found this too -- this county has more missing persons per capita than anywhere else in the world." Sam explains.

"That is weird." Dean comments.

"Yeah." Sam nods.

"Don't phantom attackers usually snatch people from their beds? Jenkins was taken from a parking lot." Dean says.

"Well, there are all kinds. You know, Spring Heeled Jacks, phantom gassers. They take people anywhere, anytime. Look, Dean, I don't know if this is our kind of gig either."

"Yeah, you're right, we should ask around more tomorrow."

"Right. I saw a motel about five miles back."

"Whoa, whoa, easy. Let's have another round."

"We should get an early start." Sam says.

"Yeah, you really know how to have fun, don't you, grandma?" Dean remarks. "All right. I'll meet you guys outside, I gotta take a leak." He grabs his jacket and goes for the bathroom.

"I'm going, too." Thomas says, making his way to the bathroom.

Rachel and Sam go outside and walk over to the Impala. They both hear a noise making them freeze.

"What was that?" Rachel whispers.

Sam motions for her to stay back as he walks closer to the car. He takes his flashlight out and kneels down, looking under the car.

A cat hisses at him making him jump.

"Whoa!" Sam reels back, but relaxes once he processes it's just a cat who scurries off. Sam laughs at himself.

After failing to find Sam and Rachel last night, Dean and Thomas are now at the police station.

"So, what can we do for you, Officer Washington, Officer Peters?" Kathleen asks.

"We're working a missing persons." Dean says.

"I didn't know the Jenkins case was being covered by the state police." Kathleen says.

"Oh, no. no, there's someone else." Dean says. "Actually, it's our cousins. We were havin' a few last night at this bar by the highway. And we haven't seen them since."

"Do your cousins have a drinking problem?" Kathleen asks.

"Sam? Two beers and he's doin' karaoke." Dean remarks, Kathleen smiling.

"Rachel's too young to drink, she just had soda last night." Thomas says.

"No, they weren't drunk. He was taken. Both of them." Dean states.

"Alright. What are their names?"

"Winchester. Sam and Rachel Winchester."

"Like the rifle?"
