While the Australians were blasting apart the South Sea Fleet, things were happening in the cover of darkness in Rushan. The rescue mission for the former Russian destroyer KAN-SEN Dekabrist, formerly known as Verniy and previously Hibiki of the Sakura Empire, from what could only described as a monster. As the six KAN-SEN and five troops, which made up a force of about eleven landed onto Chinese soil, it was instinct to move quickly and silently.

US: So, where is your sister's hull moored in this place?

An Shan: Yintan district.

US: Lead the way girls. Come on, boys. We have a KAN-SEN to rescue.

US troop 1: Why do we need to rescue this one shipgirl? Like, what's wrong with this other girl.

Tan Yang: One word, boys; cannibalism. We don't save Hibiki, she's Chang Chun's dinner tonight.

US troop 2: And I thought the skinwalkers were bad enough.

US troop 3: You must be from Midwest.

US troop 2: I'm part Navajo, so I'm aware of them monsters.

Carmania: Ok, could you not talk about folklore monsters, please? There are young KAN-SEN here. (Points out An Shan, Tai Yuan, Tan Yang and SuperCat 4)

US troop 4: Yeah, be quiet. We're on a rescue mission, not talking about stories in the smoke pit.

US: Alright, you three. Keep your voices down. We do not want to be spotted, otherwise this rescue mission will be jeopardized by your stupidity.

US troop 3: Sorry, madam.

SuperCat 4: Are you sure this will work? We are really deep into hostile territory, and we're not familiar with this place.

Tai Yuan: Me and my sister have been here multiple times, so we know where Chang Chun's ship is.

US troop 5: Warship right ahead of us, looks like a frigate of some kind.

An Shan: That's not a frigate, American soldier. That's an An Shan-class destroyer.

US: Right. That means we're at point Delta. (pulls out a radio set) Prairie Dogs, this is Angel 1. At Point Delta.

Sitting out in the darkness of Rushan's Yintan district, an old guided-missile destroyer sat motionless and still, its silhouette being visible through the night. This was none other than the An Shan-class destroyer PRAN Chang Chun, pennant number 103, former vessel of the People's Republic Army Navy, and the location of their objective.

????: (over radio) Roger that, Angel 1. Angel team confirmed at point Delta.

Tan Yang: Uh... who was that?

US: Just our getaway girls a few miles away. Two got recommissioned with another having her ship completely rebuilt from the hull up. We've got this covered.
