CAMILA INTERNALLY SIGHS AS SHE listens to the Senators debating about the banking clan yet again. They've been discussing it for the past twenty minutes and it is taking everything in her not to end the holocall. She wasn't able to attend the meeting in person, simply because she didn't want to leave Alba. Her daughter had been a bit detached ever since Rex left and she was running out of things to entertain her.
Camila pinches the bridge of her nose as she stifles a yawn. She looks over at Captain Narvor with a bored look. He smiles at her and steps forward.
"Senator Ri'vane." He speaks quietly but the other Senator's notice the Captain speaking to her.
"The Queen requires your presence."
"Thank you, Captain." He nods at her and backs away, "Forgive me, Senators, but I must meet the Queen. Please let me know of the outcome."
They all nod at her and bid her farewell before she ends the call.
"Oh thank the gods," She groans, "That was boring."
Captain Narvor chuckles, "The Queen does need to see you though, milady."
She nods and gets up from her seat, "Of course. Thank you, Captain."
Camila turns to Inej and nods at her. The handmaiden follows her out of her apartment, along with two guards, as they make their way to the Queen's Audience Room.
Camila's purple skirts skim the black and white tiles as she enters the Queen's Audience Room. She stops several metres away and drops into a low and grateful curtsy.
"Senator." the Queen greets.
Camila looks up at her before slowly rising, "Your majesty requested to see me?"
"I did."
Queen Elvira rises from her throne and descends the steps, her footman just behind her.
"I wish to show you my latest arrivals."
"Ah." Camila nods and the two walk out the audience room.
They walk through the halls of the palace, making their way to the royal gardens.
"Who is the man that was staying in your quarters until a few days ago." Queen Elvira questions after a while.
Camila grimaces, "You know about that?"
"That maybe where you live, Senator Ri'vane, but this is my palace." the Queen reminds her with a small smile.
