Ever since you were little, you've seen things that most people would be thrown into a mental hospital for, at least, that's what your mother used to joke about. She would always chuckle every time you would run up to her, saying that you heard whispers in the wind while climbing up into her lap. You remember the way her hands carded themselves through your hair, humming a tune while trying to assure you that what you were seeing and hearing was normal. She tried to assure you that you were normal, and that everyone else was crazy for thinking you were crazy. Kind of messed up, but you were too young to think about that.

At the time, you hadn't known that what you were experiencing was the beginning of your Elemental Abilities, but your mother did. She only told you about them whenever you turned ten, and that green in your hair started to grow out, lighting up at random times. Though, she wasn't there to tell you in person, she did tell you via letter, saying that she was proud of how much you've grown. Your father tried to keep the letters brief by reading them himself, but you always found a way to read them yourself, looking over the information he skimmed over.

When your mother was around, which wasn't often as you gotten older, she would always hold your hand and give you gentle looks. That's your main and most recent memory of her, that smiling and caring look as she patted your head one last time. She had said that she was given a work opportunity half way across Ninjago, your small mind not being able to comprehend that at the time. All you could realize was that your mother, the one you had grown such a strong bond with, was leaving you at the time. You couldn't help but cry at the idea, your father having to hold you back from climbing into her suit case so you could go with her.

After she left, you were alone and confused, the voices in the wind growing stronger, and your nightmares only increasing. You would more often than not cry silently in your bed, as the times where you had woken your father up for help, he didn't know what to do. There were few times where he had set you down on the couch, the living room lit up with small candles as he talked on the phone. You never understood what he was saying, but you did know that he was angry, furious even, as he talked to the other person. You never knew that he was talking to your mother, but you had a small inkling, as he would often berate the person for 'leaving at such vulnerable time' in your 'development', whatever that meant.

Elemental Masters figure out they have a special power from the moment they are able to walk, read and understand generic things, you didn't find out until you were fifteen. Your father always sugar coated things, saying that being out in such a rural area was messing around with your head, that he experienced these things too. He also tried to tell you that having nightmares was a common occurrence in the family after you had told him that Cole didn't experience what you were. At the time, it did put a small ease in your mind, but it was never fully nullified, a curiosity deep in you always going unsatisfied. It was getting annoying.

You knew you should've suspected something from the very start, as the tale of Elemental Masters and the tale of the First Spinjitzu Master were spoon fed to you for a while. You'd always asked if you would become one when you were younger, fantasizing about the amazing powers you could end up with. And every time, your mother would chuckle and boop your nose with that kind and caring smile, her face blanked out in your memory. You only remember her general figure, maybe the color of her eyes, but that's it, your father never kept any photos around.
