She walked out of the cabin and I released a deep breath which I was holding. I don't know if this girl is actually innocent or not. She appears oblivious to things but it could be her trap too.
I do not get trapped because I hunt.
If she turns out to be a threat to me then it won't take me long to erase her existence. I sat on my chair and leaned back a little.
My hands lazily moved to my Laptop as I pressed the keys. My fingers were sliding smoothly on the touchpad as I opened the live CCTV of my company. I zoomed in the screen to see Y/n passing across the lobbies eventually leading her to the stairs.
I was quite surprised upon seeing her acting on my orders to not take the elevator. She climbed down the stairs and I watched her for some ten minutes. She looked tired and maybe her thighs were getting sore as I could see from her expressions.
Is she really that weak? If yes, then she can't be an agent.
But again, it can be an act. She could be acting coy and fragile on purpose too. It can be misleading so it's not fair to draw conclusions so early. I need to wait.
But then the memory of her whimpers; the painful whimpers still lingered in my mind. I remembered the encounter I had with her yesterday. The bruises on her hand, the tears in her eyes and most importantly the helplessness.
Yes, Helplessness. It felt like she didn't know what she should do and what she shouldn't. She looked miserable and pathetic.
But no, that's not enough to create a soft corner in my heart. Wait, a heart? But I do not have one. It has been beating all these years with the thirst of revenge and ambitions. It doesn't know emotions; it only understands power.
She was now already in the cafeteria, and I scrutinized her every movement. My gaze trailed on her figure as she started making the coffee. However, what happened next was certainly unexpected and maddening.
That fucking asshole. I'd kill him.
I stormed outside the cabin ready to hunt down someone so bad, although I could feel the worry growing in every fiber of my being.
She was hurt.
The employees cleared my way and that was the moment I could hear nothing. Their faint voices were reaching my ears, probably greeting me but it all felt so insignificant now. Belle sided upon seeing me and I was now in front of that little girl.
A thick silence followed as only the sounds of my breathing were heard along with her little whimpers. Without wasting a damn second, I lifted her up in my arms and her eyes which were earlier on the floor were now deeply concentrated on my face.
I pulled her closer to get a better hold and her face snuggled in my chest. Soon, she wrapped her arms around my neck and I felt a weird emotion whirling inside.
