"How long will it take to wipe out the Romanos?"
"It's hard to say. They are a force to be reckoned with but I am sure that we will trample them"
Jungkook pinched the bridge of his nose. He wanted it to end quickly but not everything goes according to plan.
He then spoke in his bluetooth headset.
"If that's the case, no need to play clean. Hire mercenaries, amplify the aggression. If necessary then openly slaughter the Romano heirs with no care. Screw the diplomacy and let our name come up if it means our victory. Flow money like water but slay our enemies. Don't give them a chance to fire back. Crush them all like mere bugs of a ruined territory. Get done with it in two days or else..."
Alec was stunned. He could feel the underlying tension and threat in Jungkook's words.
Remembering his hate for the enemies, clutching his phone, he spoke with a firm resolve.
"I will do anything and everything. This authority, granted to me, will be exploited well to finish off the Italian mafias."
"I expect nothing less."
Dismissing the call, Jungkook groaned in frustration.
He was already prepared for the worst outcome and he knew how to win it.
But the problem lies elsewhere. Time. It is scarce.
Five days of one week challenge have already passed. He only has two days to prove his sincerity to Y/n.
For that, he'd have to get rid of Stella which is impossible without eliminating her powerful family.
He walked to and fro in the room. He could only feel frustrated since nothing is in his hands.
How desperately he wanted to fly off to Europe and finish it all on his own.
However, his concern for Y/n and her safety stopped his imagination everytime.
He knew that his step family would cause problems in his absence, with Stella's help.
"Forsake these ominous thoughts."
He inhaled deeply. He should have faith in Alec and his new Russian allies.
'Nothing will go wrong. Y/n will not leave me. I will fulfil my promise. I will prove myself. There are still two days left.'
His eyes then travelled to his bed. The bed, which he had been sharing with his wife, looked lovely for no reason.
He let his hand sink into the mattress, exactly on the same side where she always slept.
He squatted down and placed his face on it. He sniffed, inhaling her natural scent which was rather musky but pleasant.
"Mi reina, soy adicta a tu aroma"
"My Queen, I'm addicted to your scent."
He grinned. He didn't know why but he always found her aroma soothing.
Though, he never expressed it openly, he was very much addicted.
She was sitting right there, some minutes before, reading a few books on business and management.
He could imagine the future. Him and her, on this very same bed, rolling under the sheets and their breaths mingling.
A childish desire awakened in him as he started caressing the bedding of her side.
No one other than him and Y/n would get to touch this mattress. It would be theirs and only theirs.
The very inkling of this bed's crucial role in his married life, made him realise how pious it was that he couldn't afford anyone else to touch it.
