Chapter-21 APOLOGISE

Kavya is trying to wake her up, she gently shook her shoulder, whispering her name in soft, but she merely stirred, her eyelids fluttering open just long enough to reveal a glimpse of her before drifting shut once more. Again she tried and shouted a little cause her to wake up from her sleep.

'' wakeup siya, its 10:30 now''

''I slept this long?''

''yes, maam''

''let's go we're getting late for class, feel okay to attend class na siya?''

''enough, to attend class''

''okay, get ready I'm looking for you outside''

''hmm, give me 5 minutes''.

Siya hurriedly went to the washroom and got ready in pants and loose t-shirt, after they went toward the campus. After attending three consecutive lectures, they took a long breath of relief and settle down near the cafeteria.

''Siya, you're back'' a voice came from behind and found Suyash there.

''Suyash, how're you?'' siya said in a low voice while he sat beside her.

''just fine, i-I just don't know how to behave normally when I'm the reason for all your and his misery''.

''Suyash, it's okay to behave as normally as before, you had nothing to do with that''.

''I'm extremely sorry siya, whatever happened that night''. Suyash apologized to him while stammering.

''Suyash, I heard about his death, he did the most macabre sin for which I wanted him to punish but I never expected this ... .this brutal consequence.....not sorry for your brother.....but for my presence''.

Siya said slowly while remembering his lethal and psychotic previous act which still haunts her like a spirit.

'' he got whatever sin he did, we were not able to recognize his face, his bruises, cuts all over his body seemed someone torched his in unrealistic way.... Through forensic we knew he was.....devansh that scene still shook my soul and ignites a wave of fear for that monster who did this to him''

A lone tear escaped her eyes for the sin she did unknowingly, gulped her saliva to remember his thunderous confession.

''didn't you file a complaint against him?....that murderer''. She said timidly yet her voice carries a sound of sincerity to stop his lethal killing acts.

''we did, but the police.....shut the case by saying it's an animal attack. His bruises and cuts had marks of sharp nails of a lethal tiger or lion something''.

'' How can they shut the case by just saying it was an animal attack and besides this, how can they accept that animal thing with varanasi dude''. kavya shouts a little prized in gaining surrounding attention.

Siya shushed her while glaring at her intensely to shut her mouth.

''authority seemed unbothered, it seems they don't want to and when they don't how can we exaggerate the case, even when we don't have any clue so they shut the case''. Suyash said defeatly.

''cctv or something?......all damage the owner Arjun confessed''.

"Let it be, jo hona tha woh chuka ....i just wanted to apologize....bye, take care".

''Let's go siya, I'm hungry hostel chalte hai'' Kavya said while picking Siya from her seat.

Siya saw an unknown sorrow in his eyes which were looking at kavya, she understood his miserable situation in all this chaos, she tried to understand kavya and gave some time to clear their misunderstanding while she excused and went to the corner . An unknown number flashing on her phone, she received and found someone deep breathing sound from the other side.
