Chapter- 31 SHOCKED HIM

Author's pov:

Siya returned to the hostel, but her thoughts were elsewhere, swirling like autumn leaves caught in a brisk wind. As she walked through the familiar corridors, the laughter of her friends echoed around her, yet it felt distant, muffled by the weight of preoccupations.

Her mind drifted back to the conversation she had earlier, the words lingering like a tragic event. She replayed the moment over and over, dissecting every phrase, every glance. The uncertainty gnawed at her, a persistent itch she couldn't scratch.

As she climbed the stairs to her room, she caught sight of her reflection in the glass window. The girl staring back at her looked composed, but her eyes betrayed a storm of emotions. She felt a guilt of anxiety and restlessness, a tightrope walk between hope and fear.

Once inside her room, she tossed her bag onto the bed and sank into her chair, staring blankly at the wall until Kavya interrupted her space.

''where did you stay so late and where did you keep your phone?'' Kavya yelled a bit at her, drowning her full attention.

''i-I was in library, what happened to you?'' calmly answers her while looking at the clock.

''That fresher of your roamed at least more than 10 times in our room, and every time she asks the same question, why is siya maam not here till now? Why is she not receiving calls etc it seems that she has come to keep an eye on you more than to study ... .annoying bitch''. Kavya yelled frustratingly while tossing herself on bed.

''she must have something to do , leave it yaar'' siya said, streching her arms tiredly.

Someone knocked on their door, siya tiredly opened the door slowly, as the door swung wide, she was greeted by a familiar face with a tight smile she looked at her face....udita.

''hey! I hope I'm not interrupting anything'' she said , her voice filled with relief and a hint of nervousness.

''yes, you are'' kavya yelled a bit at her face from under the blanket.

''no, not at all! Tell me what brought you here?'' she said while managing the situation.

''I was searching for you all the time, where had you gone, I mean I need your notes for exams as they're going to start from next week''. She said nervously while gulping her saliva.

''Then you should come tomorrow, what's so hurry? Look udita, I'm a really reserve person, don't interrupt our space for something which is not worthy....you can ask this for tomorrow too, I hope you understand I'll see tomorrow''. Siya said flatly and confidently while udita's face drown all color and paint with embarrassment.

Siya closed the door with frustration. Asa she came back into the room , Kavya embraced her with joy, wrapping her arms around her tightly as if trying to convey all the love and happiness she felt in that moment.

Eventually, they pulled back slightly, grazing into each other's eyes, both smiling widely.

''You did the BEST job, bahut acha sunaya tune uss chipku ko... .now she'll think 100 times before invading our privacy'' kavya said with excitement.

''hmm, that was important, we've exams coming up, and she really keeps roaming around here too much''.

Kavya nodded in agreement, understanding the weight of her sentence....it doesn't matter for students to not study during classes but to study before one week of exam was the most important time in a student's life.
