Chapter -29 ACQUAINT

Author's pov:

Siya and Udita, comforting each other's company, settled down in Siya's room for dinner.

The pale color of their face witnesses that tonight's mess food is worse than the expectations, looking at each other's faces they decided to have noodles for tonight.

'' if you don't mind can I ask you something?'' Siya asks while sitting on her bed.

''Of course ma'am'' udita replied softly.

'' Firstly, don't address me as ma'am...please as a junior you can call me di''. Siya said while smiling a bit.

'' no, no, I can't...i-I mean juniors used to address seniors with sir or ma'am and that is absolutely okay with me'' udita replied, stammering a little.

'' Okay, so tell me about yourself, don't mind but you look older than me, so how're you in bachelor's? I'm sorry if I asked for more than something''. Siya apologized suddenly after looking at her pale face.

''ah- actually, i'm....due to some family issues, I had to abandon my studies at a very early age, so when again life gave me this opportunity I grabbed and continued my leftover dream''. Udita replied while smiling and thinking about something.

'' this is what my mumma says....padhne wale har haal me padhte hai aur kahin bhi padh lete hai....hence proved'' siya said while smiling at her.

'' Continue your studies with full energy.....if you have any problem then I'm here for you, I can give you my notes''. Siya said while fisting her palm with joy to exaggerate her strength.

''thank you so much ma'am, Udita said.

'' and udita one more thing, make sure not to show up in front of those seniors, they're really annoying rich brats they have been suspended last time because of ragging.....but look their influence status covered all this that's why I'm telling you make sure to avoid them''. Siya said all incidents to help her not to repeat.

'' now, I know to whom i need to avoid in whole campus....btw aap toh itni strong hai, sunna bhi deti hai sabko so aap kisi avoid karti hai?'' udita asked her to make faces.

'' hum avoid sirf unhe nahi karte hai jinse hume problem ho, hum unhe bhi avoid karte hai jo hume na pasand ho''. Siya said.

''agar koi pasand nahi hai toh aap baat kyu nahi deti hai bande ko, apko koi problem ho toh mujhe bataiye....mai dekhti hu'' udita's voice laced with the hint of curiosity.

''ohh jhansi ki rani baith jao, abhi saam tak bheegi billi thi ab sherni banna hai tumhe hain? Aur meri tension na lo thik hai''. Siya said while holding her shoulder.

''okay ma'am!''. Udita said and both started laughing after looking at each other's face.

''Let me wash the kettle, 1 month se nahi dhuli hai'' siya said while shaking her head in disbelief.

The sound of the phone disturbed their conversation, Siya asked Udita to help her to give her phone while she's busy washing the kettle.

Seeing the caller id udita gave her phone back.

Udita asked her to let her wash the kettle until then she talked, to which she nodded and went outside to attend the call, after taking a long breath she received his phone call.

''hello'' siya said softly.

''Hello love, how are you doing? I hope I didn't disturb you? Aagnay said while smiling like a fool.

''all good''.

''How was your day? All fine?''

''as usual...normal''.

''normal? Really?'' aagnay said while delivering every word with emphasis.

'' Are you trying to control my life mr. thakur? Stop stalking me'' siya said while gritting her teeth.

'' correction ms. Mehra, it's called guarding....guarding to my most precious one'' aagnay said calmly.

''As a politician and an industrialist, I don't even remember the number of my rivals....and I obviously can't stake your life over anything if they get even a hint about you I'll be....i can't lose you''.

''just you and your political lecture''. Siya said annoyingly.

'' order me once and I'll relinquish everything on your feet ms. Mehra'' aagnay said while smiling at her pictures present in his room.

Siya looks at her shockingly, scoffing and disbelievingly she asks him the reason for which he called her trying to change the topic and his green flag acting.

''yeah, schedule changed of conference, I'm going tomorrow there and maybe this will take month so I called you before to go.....apki awaaz sunne bina toh din guzarna mushqil hoga but apko dekh kar sabar kar lunga....bas aap ko suna tha, aapna khyal rakhiyega aur haan take rest I had ordered pizza for you, gladly I'm not supporting you for junk but tinde apko khane nahi dunga aur college se aa kar itna kam bhi nahi karne dunga''.

''bye, love you LOVE''. Aagnay said while cutting his phone call.

Siya was numb at her place until a hand shook her. Looking behind she finds udita standing there watching her face confusingly.

Warden called her to pick up her parcel, to which Siya asked Udita to go downstairs to receive it. After taking 5-6 boxes of pizza she came into the room and asked Siya when she ordered this to which she kept quiet.

'' Hmm, someone's really keen observer for your health....they make sure you don't sleep without eating''. Udita said mockingly while looking at her.

''hmm, A KEEN. DEADLY. STALKING.OBSERVE he's''. siya said inaudibly while shaking her head in disbelief .

They had their dinner, and Udita went back to her room while Siya's eyes didn't dare to close or blink for hours, her mind surrounded by all his possibilities.
