Kavya and Siya went to the central office to collect their marksheet of the first semester of masters' law, excited and waves of relief adorned their faces while seeing the results.

'''not bad....8.73 cgpa''Kavya said while looking at her marksheet.

''not much better than....9.56 cpga'' siya said while laughing mischievously.

''hmm-hmm topper....'' Suddenly darkness engulfed in front of Siya's eyes, as someone placed their palm on her eyes.

''what, hey, who're you?'' Siya said, panicking while removing the obstacle.

''kya badtameezi hai....ayush?'' Siya was stunned to see ' ayush' her childhood friend, in front of her all of a sudden.

'' surprised?'' Ayush asked mischievously while side hugging her.

'' ooh god, you all of a sudden how? When you came back from Europe? How are you?'' Siya started her train of questions in a single breath while responding to his hug.

'' Shhss, Ms. Pataka, express calm down, I'll tell you everything ''.

'' yeah I'm all good, and came back last Sunday''. He said calmly.

''aur yaha kaise ana hua?''

'' tumse milna tha, baate karni ki toh ashish se pucha aur pahuch gaya''.

'' ooh, so now this NRI friend of mine talks to me after not responding to my single text, your audacity Ayush....kya kehna'' siya shouted a little earning an apologetic reaction from him. He said sorry while keeping his hands on his ears like a child.

'' Yeah I accept my fault siya, but believe me I was really busy, new job, new environment, shifting, everything messed my mind....and secondly I want to surprise you siya....please sorry na'' Ayush said softly while clearing his side.

'' acha-acha samjh gai, aur sab batao, how's uncle , aunty everyone there?''

'' All good, they used to miss you some much....same here''.

Siya introduced Kavya to Ayush, exchanged formal words and Kavya sided with her and gave some precious time to old best friends.

'' didn't tell me, appeared all of a sudden'' siya said while moving toward ghats....they sat on the ladders near TULSI GHAT of varanasi.

'' hmm, manana tha jo tumhe'' Ayush said while looking at her face lovingly.

''means?.....didn't tell aunty about the proposal ....my father has sent?''

Siya was shocked at his words, never in her weirdest dream she imagined a marriage proposal from his side, her heart knew that he adores her so much but as a good friend but expecting a proposal a big NO.''

Clears throat while slapping the side of her head and diverting her eyes.

'' she addressed one of papa's friends, didn't tell it was you'' she said slowly.

'' hmm, paata tab hota na jab puri baat sunti.... Pehle hi you started the march while handling the flag of ''NO MARRIAGE'' Ayush taunts her.

'' Yeah, I don't want to marry, so what's wrong with that'' she said savagely while flipping her head on the other side.

''nothing, it'll be your last decision but let me give a chance siya....i like you so much since childhood, please give me one chance, for us.''

'' Ayush I'm really not in a state to marry now, secondly I have my career ahead.... You know I want to become a lawyer in the Indian judiciary....aur practically tumhe saaf lafzo me samjhau toh....tum NRI, settled in Europe have a prosperous life, we are not a good match for each other''. Siya said genuinely in a way to not hurt his heart.
