Avi stirred as she heard the screams ringing in her ear. Those terrifying screams that would give anyone nightmares. The type that she could still hear in her ears every time she closed her eyes.

Then she heard it. Trixy's voice calling her name. She gasped and sat up in distress, looking around. She looked down at her wrist, which was chained to the floor.

"What the hell..?" She muttered under her breath as she glanced around.

"Dr Adams? Babe? Danny?" She called as she struggled against the chains. She cried out as she once again felt that splitting pain in her head, a hot white knife stabbing behind her eyes.

"Avi, you're awake..!" Danny exclaimed in relief as he rushed to the case she was locked inside.

"Danny? Where the hell am I? Why am I chained to the floor?"

"You don't remember? You went skitzo again. After you blacked out, trixy called us for help. When we got there, you were on a rampage and you'd already destroyed half the lab."

"What?! Oh my God, are Trix and adams-" Avi began, anticipating the worst for her friends.

"Fine. They're fine." Danny interrupted, trying to keep her calm. "And you will be too as long as we can figure out what's sending that signal to your brain."

"Have you found anything yet?"

"Yes actually." Dr Adams piped up as she walked in with a chart. "Even better, I believe I've found out why your conscience is still intact. Your family shares a rare genetic mutation that counteracts the brain numbing effects of the virus. You're immune to a degree."

"Immune? So why am I still acting out?"

"That part is still unclear, but if your brother were to transfer some of his blood to you, it could completely nullify all effects of the mutation. For you and your friends."

"Are you sure Adams?" Danny asked, a hint of skepticism in his voice.

"Yes. However, the amount of blood needed is.. less than ideal for him... It could kill him."

"I am not putting max in that position-!"

"You won't have to." Max interrupted as he walked in the room. "I'll do it."

"Max, no, it's too dangerous."

"I agree with Avi, general Lynn. This could be extremely harmful to you."

"I don't care. I'll do it if it means getting my little sister back."

"Max, I can't let you do this..."

"I know, which is why it's not up to you Avi. I'll be fine. I promise. And so will you and your friends." He smiled and messed up her hair.

"I'm holding you to that... Or I'll be the one to kill you."

"Hook us up doc."
