6 years later"will you chill out, that girl loves you and she obviously wants to marry you if yall made it all the way to the wedding day." I said to Xavier, Jahila's cousin since he was pacing back and forth in the room.
"Why you acting like you ain't do the same shit on your wedding day." Quincy spoke as he nudged me and the other guys laughed including Xavier's dad, Jahier.
(Remember that, uncle Jj and baby Jahier have the same name. Jailah named her son after him so try not to be confused)
"Chill he don't need to know all that." I spoke as I fixed my tie in the mirror.
"We gotta go wedding starts in 2 minutes." Rodney said as he looked at his watch.
Me, Quincy, Jahier, Rodney, Xavier and Xavier's best friend Lucky, were his groomsmen, so we all walked out the back room and waited for the music to flow before we started walking down the isle while we waited for the bride and the bridesmaid.
"I bet you $20 he gonna cry." Quincy said just above a whisper which caused us all the laugh.
"Hi dada" I heard the soft voice of my last child, Journee say. I smiled and waved over at my 5 kids who were sitting nicely with my momma and Summer.
After standing at the front of the church, we watched each bridesmaid walk down the aisle slowly.
Then eventually Paris walked down with her white gown and flowers in her hand with a smile plastered across her face.
Paris and Xavier got together a few years ago, we were all over for thanksgiving and he was staring at her the whole night. He talked to Quincy and he and told us he was feeling her and from that night on they were inseparable.
"Mommy!" We all heard as Paris reached the alter.
"London sit down." Paris' mother spoke as she grabbed up London before she ran to her mother.
Xavier and Paris had a two year old daughter and she was now 4 months pregnant with their second baby. Everyone's life was finally coming together and the family was complete.
After the wedding was over we headed to the engagement party. It was a kid free party so the kids were in a separate room with 4 babysitters to watch them.
Jailah being Jailah of course checked in all of them every 30 mutinies.
"Baby come on there fine, let's dance." I said pulling her arm as she began to walk away to the other room to check on the kids.
"But I wanna check on my babies!!"
"Mamas, Jahier is 11 he is old enough to know that if he don't like something he gonna run out here and tell us what's up." Jailah sighed then nodded her head.
"You're right."
"Now let's dance."
A Thousand Years by Christina Perri boomed through the speakers played and all of the couples joined the dance floor so they could dance.
I watched in awe as everyone stared at their loved ones with pure happiness in their eyes. It was such a beautiful sight to see, especially seeing all of the black love in the room.
"I really love you Jailah, thank you so much for coming into my life. We have been together for so long and I wouldn't trade you or this for anything in the world."
"I love you too papa, thank you for always being by my side." Jailah spoke as she laid her head on my chest while we slow danced.
