No One's POV
It was a busy day in the Kagenou Region. The people of the closest market to the Kagenou Manor were extremely busy that day, showcasing the full extent of their rush hour.
Hundreds of people walked to streets, buying stuff, weapons, books, groceries, jewellery, clothes, food, etc. Stopping by to have a drink. Hanging out with friends. Going to a gambling house. Praying at the church. Ther were a lot of things these people were doing.
Standing in the crowded place, nobody noticed the hooded figure with beautiful pale gold locks falling out of the dark hood that covered her serene face.
She walked steadily through the crowd, asking people around her for guidance and answers.
She noticed the destroyed geography and roads, cracked houses and torn down fauna. It made her wonder what was really happening here.
I'm the course of the past few weeks, she's heard of a lot of strange events happening in the Midgar Kingdom. Specifically in and around this region. Not to mention, that blinding light from those weeks earlier, followed by the night enveloping the day, before resetting back to the day.
A weird phenomenon that left many in curious awe and wonder. She herself, shared that sentiment. But unlike other people, she was smart enough to realise something.
That hole in the sky, both the making and reparing of it, was caused by magic.
In other words, somebody did that. It was done via human hands. It had to be humans, since there were no elves or therianthropes in this region, which was governed by a family of generous dark knights— the Kagenou's.
Granted, it's possible the noble family themselves had something to do with this, though highly unlikely. But she decided she'll have to check up on that as well.
She then approached a few people and began asking questions. The answers she received were vague and hard to decipher. Most had no clue and came up with the most ridiculous scenarios in their heads.
Some say it's the end of the world.
Some say it's the birth of a god.
Some say it was some kind of monster.
Some say it was a man; a human.
Others say, it was an underground magic supervolcano!
They were all stupid. Some even said it was the demon Diabolos that caused all of this after it came back from the dead to destroy the world again.
She then approached an elderly couple.
"Excuse me ?" She asked softly, grabbing both of their attentions as she stared at them nicely.
"Do you happen to know anything about what happened around these places ?"
The elderly woman stared at her for a bit and shook her head. "No. I'm sorry, but I'm very lost as well. Though, perhaps my daughter would know."
"Your daughter ?"
"Yes. She's a maid working for the Baron's family. Maybe they will know what happened." The elf girl stood there silently for a little bit. So all her troubles all lead back to them, huh ?
"It's been a while since an elf has come to visit the Kagenou territory, it's most welcome. My name is Andrew and this is my wife, Mariabelle." The old man introduced both of them to the elf, making her stumble in her tracks.
"Right... My apologies for not introducing myself." She quickly apologised for her mistake.
"My name is Beatrix. And I want to learn more about the things that have been happening in this region." Said the charming elf as a determined glint flashes through her eyes.
