At ten years old, Kosuke was far behind with her jujutsu training than Megumi. To be fair he also practiced a lot more than her. Whenever Gojo asked her, she suddenly had a forgotten homework assignment to work on or she was busy with some other tasks.

"Do you just not like me as your teacher?" Gojo huffed as he set the carton of milk down on the counter.

"Satoru, you know I'm very thankful that you teach me, but I'm just busy." She shrugged and scooped up a spoonful of cereal. "Besides I'm weak, I will never be of any help."

"So what if you don't have a powerful technique? We can always practice with cursed weapons, or you could imbue your cursed energy into a weapon, you have more than enough." He sat down next to her and poured the milk into his bowl.

She forced a smile. "I'm not sure how I feel about using weapons."

"You are strong, Kosuke. Remember how much cursed energy you have, use that to your advantage."

Kosuke looked over at him. "How's Megumi been doing with his jujutsu?"

"Good. You should train with him again."

Ever since that day Kosuke had been keeping her distance. She spoke to Megumi only when she had to or he spoke first, which was hard given how often Kosuke visited Tsumiki. She hated herself for how much she still wanted him to be her friend. She still wanted to try her hardest to get him to like her, maybe she would restart her attempts soon, but she wasn't sure. He still seemed to hate her more than anything. Gojo also wasn't helping, he was always forcing the two together despite how much the children complained.

"I don't know if I want to do more jujutsu training for a while." Kosuke looked down at her bowl and pushed the cereal back and forth. "I've been so busy. I don't really have the time."

Gojo raised a brow. "You aren't this insecure about your cursed technique, are you? How about I give Shoko and Utahime a call? Your technique is closer to both of theirs than mine, maybe they could be more helpful."

It always weirded Kosuke out when Gojo was calm and collected like this. The hairs on the back of her neck stood up and she became prepared for something, anything. Gojo Satoru never stops making jokes, so when he's actually helpful without any teasing it's unsettling.

"Okay, that sounds good." Kosuke really didn't want to do any jujutsu training, but she wouldn't reject an opportunity to hang out with Utahime and even Shoko. Kosuke had only met Shoko a couple of times, and the woman never left that strong of an impression with her. Shoko like Kosuke, never said much and mostly just listened. So when two people talked who preferred to listen, there wasn't much of a conversation.

"I see how it is." Gojo wiped a fake tear away. "You do prefer them."

There he is. "Yes, Satoru." Kosuke stood up and took her now empty bowl with her. "I do prefer Shoko and Utahime. What can I say?"

Gojo chuckled and took her bowl from her before she got too far. "I'll take care of this, go get ready for school. I'll call Shoko and Utahime today and see when we can train."

Kosuke smiled and nodded her head, but when she turned her back to Gojo, a grimace covered her face.

Music class was at the end of the day. Kosuke's favorite class. The best way to end a day.

The whole class all stood on the bleachers, waiting as each child stepped down and sang. They were currently being evaluated on their voices, it would determine whether they got a solo or not and where their assigned spot would be in the bleachers.
