"You've been spending more time in Tokyo now." Gojo commented.
"But Satoru, you didn't even notice when I was in Kyoko." She laughed, hiding the hurt behind a smile.
"I know I've been busy, that's why I thought I'd take the day off and spend it with you."
Kosuke cut into her stack of pancakes. "Well thank you, I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy schedule to spend time with me."
"Sarcasm doesn't look good on you, Kosuke." Gojo took a bite of his pastry. With a full mouth he continued to speak. "Why are you spending so much more time in Tokyo?"
"Satoru isn't not very polite to talk while you're eating, and I wasn't being sarcastic. I really do appreciate your time I know how busy you are." She took a bite of her pancakes.
"I'm glad you're back in Tokyo for a while, you're starting to sound like Utahime."
"Well, I'm back in Tokyo more because Megumi and I are sort of friends now."
Gojo was about to take another bite of his pastry, but it fell from his hands while his mouth hung open. Kosuke didn't need to see his eyes that were hidden behind white bandages to know what he was hinting at.
"We're just friends, Satoru. Nothing more nothing less. It's a miracle that we even get along now." A miracle or a tragedy? It had been Tsumiki's curse that brought them together. "Please don't blow this out of proportion."
A sly smile spread across his lips. "I didn't say anything. But since you brought it up, I have to ask. How did you two finally get along?"
"I don't want to talk about it, it's not a fun story."
Gojo chuckled. "Even if you two are friends now, I'm sure something more will come out of it."
Kosuke smiled and shook her head. "I don't want anything more to happen, I like our friendship."
"But you two are living together, aren't you?"
The table went silent. Kosuke looked at him with large purple eyes. Gojo barely even noticed when Kosuke was living in Kyoto, how did he know she was spending a couple nights at Megumi's place. "We aren't living together. I'm just spending a couple nights over there. Like Tsumiki and I used to do."
"What do you mean used to do?" He watched her for a second. "Megumi told me about Tsumiki and her coma."
"Oh. Well yeah." She was surprised that Megumi told Gojo when he was so insistent on not telling him. "I hope you don't mind me spending more time with Megumi."
"No not at all, it will strengthen your bond. You two need it, especially for missions." He leaned back in his seat. "But you two better be spending your time together in a PG sort of way. I don't need the Zen'in clan all over my ass because you two decided to have a little too much fun."
Kosuke's whole face went a dark shade of red after she realized what Gojo was hinting at. "Gojo Satoru! I told not to blow this out of proportion!"
"I'm not, I'm being reasonable. You two are both alone and even if you used to not get along very well, doesn't mean there aren't lingering feelings there."
"There are no feelings! And I'm especially not going to get pregnant." She whispered-shouted at him. She rubbed her still red face.
"Relax Kosuke, I'm just pulling your chain." He leaned in closer to her. "But seriously, if something is happening do it safely."
"Satoru!" She took a deep breath and calmed herself. "How has training your new students going?" Kosuke was quick to change the conversation.
"Good. A new first year has joined the class."
