Taehyung drove through the city streets in a sturdy jeep, his mind weighed down with the gravity of Seokjin's message. The doctor's words echoed in his thoughts:
"Jungkook has the right to know about it, Taehyung. He is the parent of your child. You two should make a decision as soon as possible."
As Taehyung's hands gripped the steering wheel, his gaze was distant, absorbed in the turbulent sea of his thoughts. He struggled with the decision that loomed over him and the conversation he needed to have with Jungkook.
Jungkook, sitting beside him in the passenger seat, noticed Taehyung's preoccupation. With a touch of concern in his voice, he called out, "Taehyung, what's going on? We've already passed the company."
Realizing they had driven past their destination, Taehyung pulled the jeep over to the side of the road. The engine's hum faded as the vehicle came to a halt. Jungkook unbuckled his seatbelt and began to open the door, intending to get out. Taehyung, still lost in thought, hesitated. He looked over at Jungkook, his expression a mix of uncertainty and sadness.
"Jungkook," Taehyung said softly, his voice trembling slightly as he tried to summon the courage to speak. He was unsure of how to approach the topic and the implications of their situation.
Despite his inner turmoil, Taehyung managed to force a smile. "Best of luck," he said, trying to convey his support and love through the simple words.
Jungkook's face brightened with a smile as he leaned over and placed a gentle peck on Taehyung's forehead. The warmth of the gesture was meant to be comforting, but Taehyung could only feel a deepening ache in his chest.
As Jungkook stepped out of the jeep and was about to walk towards the company, he glanced back at Taehyung. He saw Taehyung sitting still, his expression troubled, staring intently at the steering wheel. The sight tugged at Jungkook's heart, and he knocked on the window to grab Taehyung's attention.
Taehyung looked up, and their eyes met. Jungkook made a cheerful face and waved, trying to uplift the mood. Taehyung, fighting back the tears that were threatening to spill, quickly turned his head away. He wiped his eyes hastily and reached for his camera bag.
With a deep breath, Taehyung retrieved the camera and took a photo of Jungkook standing outside the jeep, capturing the fleeting moment of their last shared smile. The picture would become a bittersweet reminder of their final moments together.
Jungkook's smile remained as he walked away, unaware that this was their last goodbye. Taehyung watched him go, feeling a profound sense of loss and regret. As the distance between them grew, so did the heaviness in Taehyung's heart.
Little did they know that this goodbye was final. The camera click signified more than just a captured moment; it marked the end of a chapter they had hoped would continue.
