When Jungkook arrived at the apartment, the scene before him was chilling. The room was cloaked in darkness, lit only by a faint, uneasy light seeping through the windows. In the center, a figure in a black raincoat sat on the ground, his face obscured by a grotesque yellow smile mask. In one hand, he held a paper fan, adding an eerie touch to the grim tableau.
Jungkook's eyes were bloodshot, seething with a rage so intense it seemed capable of burning everything in its path. His gaze was locked on the masked figure, his whole presence radiating a dangerous fury. As he approached, his voice was a low, menacing growl. "I chose to fight death and chose Taehyung's life. I chose light. But you killed him and plunged everything into darkness. Taehyung was wrong. This darkness was not dispelled by any light; only the fire from your funeral pyre can end it."
Without hesitation, Jungkook lunged at Joonseo, who attempted to flee. With a powerful grip, Jungkook seized Joonseo by the back of his raincoat and shoved him roughly. Joonseo crashed into a nearby table, the wooden surface splintering under the impact, and fell to the floor.
On the ground, Joonseo started to plead, his voice muffled and desperate behind the mask. "Please, let me go. Please forgive me." But then, with a mocking grin, Joonseo removed the mask, revealing his sardonic smile. "You just wanted to hear me plead, didn't you? Just like Taehyung did."
Joonseo's taunts continued as he sneered, "No. I won't plead. What do you think? You found me? No! I brought you here. I called that police, and I knew it. After knowing my whereabouts, your blood would boil." His laughter was chilling, a cruel reminder of his past actions.
Joonseo continued to taunt Jungkook, "I was in the place where I killed your lover." The words were like a physical blow, igniting a storm of rage within Jungkook. With a fierce, unrestrained movement, Jungkook punched Joonseo hard, the impact reverberating through the room and causing Joonseo to cry out in pain.
Joonseo's mocking continued as he said, "If I was caught by the police, then I'd have to go to prison. All my crimes would be proven. My wife would hate me. And it wouldn't be the happy ending of my love story." Jungkook's fury was palpable as he stopped to listen to Joonseo's vile speech.
Joonseo, writhing on the floor, began to feign a desperate plea. "Just kill me. If you kill me, I'll become a hero in my wife's eyes." Jungkook's anger erupted uncontrollably. He delivered a brutal kick to Joonseo's stomach, causing him to clutch his midsection and start imitating a pitiful plea. "Please don't kill me. I want to live. I'm pregnant. I want to bring this child into this world."
Joonseo's laughter was a sickening sound that only fueled Jungkook's rage further. With a clenched jaw, Jungkook responded with another vicious punch, sending Joonseo reeling. Joonseo taunted him again, "Don't you think we're the same? You want to kill me because of your wife. I killed people because of mine."
Joonseo's eyes gleamed with twisted satisfaction as he added, "You know, you were so helpful to me. Because of you, my wife confessed in front of the whole world." Jungkook's rage reached its peak. He grabbed Joonseo by the neck and began dragging him toward the window. In the chaotic struggle, Jungkook's phone slipped from his pocket and fell to the floor, automatically picking up the incoming call.
Despite their fierce fight, the voice on the other end of the line cut through the chaos.
Yoongi's voice came through with urgent clarity: "Jungkook, the murderer's wife wants to talk with you." Joonseo momentarily shifted his focus to the phone, his attention momentarily diverted from Jungkook. The situation was so intense that neither Jungkook nor Joonseo could fully comprehend the words over the noise of their struggle.
Joonseo's voice was tinged with mockery as he spoke: "Do you know, it's the same place where I threw your lover from? He died in an instant." His laughter was abruptly halted by the sound coming from the phone. It was Joonseo's wife, her voice filled with confusion and distress.
"Joonseo? What are you talking about? Joonseo, are you there?" she pleaded, her voice trembling. Joonseo, desperate to salvage his situation, tried to reassure her, his words lacking sincerity.
"Hello? Juri, it isn't true," he said, trying to placate her. Despite his attempts, his wife's cries of distress continued unabated. Then, another voice came through the line—one that Jungkook recognized immediately.
Yoongi's voice was firm and resolute: "Jungkook, he killed your Taehyung and your child, didn't he? Then I will take revenge for you. I will kill his wife." The declaration was followed by the sharp report of a gunshot and a female scream. The sound was chilling, and Jungkook's eyes widened in horror. The call ended abruptly, leaving Jungkook in stunned silence.
Joonseo's face twisted into a mask of agony as he processed the horrific news. "You killed her? You killed my Juri?" he shouted, his voice breaking with despair. Consumed by a mix of grief and rage, Joonseo surged toward Jungkook, driven by a desperate need for retribution.
Jungkook, still reeling from the shock, managed to dodge Joonseo's attack. But in a desperate move, Joonseo lost his balance and stumbled backward. With a final, tragic thud, he fell through the same window from which Taehyung had plunged, the scene eerily mirroring the tragic event that had set off this spiral of violence.
As the room fell into a heavy silence, punctuated only by the distant sound of sirens and Jungkook's labored breaths, the finality of Joonseo's fall underscored the tragic end to a cycle of vengeance and sorrow that had claimed so many lives.
