"Sounds like eternal torture" Janis said from across Margot. Margot shook her head.

"She's pretty fucked up but I think she's working on it." Margot shrugged as she shoved her sandwich into her mouth. "I know you still hate her after the whole burn book and everything but I think that Cady girl kind of proved that everyone is mean at their core." Margot shrugged, glancing across the room at Regina. She was sitting beside Gretchen and Karen.

"I'm not!" Janis shouted in rebuttle. Margot gave her sister a knowing look.

"You made Regina gain weight, loose her boyfriend," Margot began, using her fingers to list the reasons. "Embarrassed her in-front of the whole school, and if you never would've intervened she would've never been hit by that bus" Margot said, giving Janis a knowing look.

Janis sighed and grumbled, playing with the steak between her bread slices. "Did you have to let her on the team?" Janis asked quietly. "And give her a ride home?"

"Yes and Yes. Drop it. Maybe I can help her learn how to be a good person. I doubt she's had anyone around her who's genuinely tried to help her." Margot shrugged. Janis groaned at how right her sister was.

"You know you're only a year older than me, right? You don't have to be so snarky and wise."

"Others would say I'm pretentious and an addict" Margot smiled, quoting the page of the burn book that held a picture of her with writing around it.

"Yeah well you never let anyone close enough to actually understand you" Janis argued with a snarky tone. Margot gritted her teeth and rolled her eyes. "I'm not kidding, Margot. You're not gonna have any friends when you graduate."

"I have you. And Damian by association." Margot responded, her eyes showing that she truly did not care. Janis sighed and stood up.

"I'm gonna go find Caddy." She said, clearly messing up Cady's name. Margot nodded her head, looking up at Regina another time.

Regina's eyes were already looking at her. They quickly scuttled away, looking at Gretchen. Whom turned around and looked at Margot. Margot cleared her throat and looked down. She looked back up when she saw a pair of boots in front of her.

"I was thinking about how much of a loser you are and Gretchen thought it would be best to invite you to a party tonight. After the volleyball stuff of course. My place." Regina shrugged, looking down at her finger nails as if she was doing Margot a favor.

"I'll decline, thanks." Margot said, standing up and putting her lunch pail into her backpack. Regina shot a look at Margot as she rushed after her, pushing her hair down and sucking in a breath.

She'd never been rejected before.

"I'm being nice, say yes." She argued, following Margot into the hallway. Margot laughed, stopping and looking at Regina.

"How would this party benefit me, George?" Margot asked, falling into temptation. Her large smile was still plastered on her face as she stared at Regina.

"Uh..." Regina stuttered for an answer, staring into Magot's eyes. "Can't say that I have an actual answer for that but... Come for me?" Regina tried, playing with her fingers. She hadn't done that since she was a child.

Margot's smile softened as she watched Regina play with her fingers. "You really want me to go, huh?" Margot asked with a sigh. Regina nodded. "I suppose..." Margot paused, looking off to the side to avoid Regina's eyes. "You have to actually show up today, yeah?" Margot said. Regina smiled then nodded, covering up her smile with her hand to hide it. Margot smiled. "I'll see you at practice." She nodded. Regina nodded back.
