Margot played with her phone, her knee up on the steering wheel. Her truck door opened and Cady smiled largely as she jumped into the passenger seat. Cady smile slowly faded as she put on her seatbelt. She kept her mouth closed.

"Thanks for getting me" Cady smiled politely. Margot nodded her head as she put her phone away and pulled out of the driveway.

"No problem." Margot muttered. She looked around before merging into traffic, heading for the school. "Where are Janis and Damian?" Margot asked, glancing over at Cady.

"Uhh they went to some party last night. An Art ralley at the skatepark. My mom said no" Cady said sadly. Margot snickered.

"I don't blame her." Margot shook her head. Cady smiled politely as she pulled out her phone.

Cady - It smells like Regina.

Janis - what?

Damian - omg don't go into the light girl!

Janis - where?

Cady - Margot's truck. Regina has been in here enough for the truck to smell like her.

Damian - pull down the mirror- is there anything in there? Maybe it's just some other blonde freak

Cady glanced over at Margot as she pulled down the mirror, her eyes widening.

Cady - There are eyelashes. Definitely Regina. Who else would Margot have in her car?

Janis - that mother fucker shes trying to weasel into margot to fuck up my life

Damian - is margot that dumb ?

Janis - my sisters never had any friends she wouldn't be able to see past reginas fucked up smile

Cady - I have faith in Margot. Maybe Regina is really just a friend?

Damian - no way

Janis  - no way

Cady swallowed her eyes scanning over Margot.

"I heard Regina is on the team?" Cady asked. Margot glanced over at Cady at the mention of Regina. Margot nodded her head.

"She needs help building muscle." Margot nodded.

"Oh. That's nice of you. Have you guys been hanging out?" Cady asked, trying to sound inconspicuous. Margot sucked in a deep breath as she changed lanes.

"Yeah. She's really not that bad anymore" Margot muttered to herself as she watched her surroundings.

"Oh, does Janis know?" Cady asked. Margot raised an eyebrow.

"Why would Janis need to know?" Margot asked, glancing at Cady. "She's not my mother" Margot laughed.

Cady politely laughed with Margot. "No, no she's not." Cady shook her head. "It just smells like her in here" Cady shrugged, scratching behind her ear.

"She needed help with some work yesterday, said the truck smelt like sweat and sprayed her perfume." Margot shook her head as they turned into the parking lot.

Cady nodded her head in understanding. She rubbed her hands together as she picked up her backpack. "Cool" Cady awkwardly muttered. Her eyebrows raised as she spotted Jamis and Damian, Jamis seething beside Damian.

"What the hell is her problem?" Margot muttered as she parked the car, staring at Janis. Janis ran up to the truck and swung open the door, climbing in. Damian shook his head and helped Cady out- shutting both door behind them.

Janis made a disgusted face as she got into the back of the car. "What's wrong?" Margot asked, turning to Janis. Janis was quiet, studying Margot's face. Margot raised an eyebrow, worry filled eyes scanning her sister.
