"Orders for Ada!"
I looked at the barista when he called my name. I walked towards the counter to pick up my order. I have decided to drop by at the coffee shop to get breakfast for me and for Ria this morning. Maaga naman din akong umalis sa bahay kaya may oras ako para bumili na ng pagkain ngayon.
Tutal naman ay ni-reject na ako ni TL, wala naman na sigurong dahilan para bigyan pa niya ako ng kape ngayong araw. Besides, it's just wrong to accept it after what happened yesterday, and I don't want to assume that he still put coffee on my table today after professing my love for him, and after he rejected me, too.
I shook my head as I remembered that moment. If only I had a reset button, I might have pressed it last night and made sure I didn't do what I did.
Hindi sana ako nagmukhang tanga sa pinaggagagwa ko.
"Thank you," I smiled a little before getting my orders. Naglakad na rin ako kaagad papalabas para makapasok na sa opisina.
My car is fixed, thanks to Conrad's friend. Isa pa iyon sa kailangan ko rin na asikasuhin sa araw na iyon. I need to pay for the service fee. Hindi ko na iyon natanong kay Conrad kahapon dahil din sa nangyari kagabi.
"Yesterday's really chaotic," I grunted before I put my seatbelt on. Ayoko na lang din na isipin ang nangyari na iyon. Hindi naman na kalayuan ang coffee shop sa may facility kaya wala pang sampung minuto ay nakarating na rin ako kaagad doon. I just parked my car at my reserved parking space before I collected all my things, the coffees and pastries and headed towards the building.
Hindi ko na maililibre si Ria ng dinner kaya naman binilihan ko na lang din ito ng kape ngayon. Iced coffee naman din ang gusto nito kaya iyon na lang ang binili ko para rito.
"Good morning," bati sa akin ng guards na nginitian ko na rin bago ako nagtuloy-tuloy pagpasok.
I just leaned on the wall while I was inside the elevator. Kanina ko pa iniisip mula nang magising ako kung paano ko ba haharapin si TL. But I know him, he's professional enough to talk to me about my work. I probably should just do the same.
"Besides, it's not like he doesn't know about it. I just admitted it myself, I just confirmed the rumors. Wala lang naman din sa kaniya iyon, e," sabi ko pa bago napabuga ng hangin.
"Ah, bahala na nga!"
Kumunot naman kaagad ang noo ko nang bumukas ang pinto ng elevator at nakatayo sa may labas noon si Conrad. Mukhang nagulat din ito nang nakita ako roon.
I stepped out of the elevator while still looking at him. Ramdam ko ang bilis ng pagtibok ng puso ko. "What are you doing here?" I asked him and he cleared his throat and shrugged.
"Nothing, just checking the facilities," he replied and I raised my brow while clenching my fists.
"Don't tell me you're trying to hit on the new hires?" I made a face and shook my head.
He looked at me and cocked his head. "What?"
"You probably heard that the new hires were all beautiful so you're trying to hit on one of them," sabi kong muli sa kaniya. "Just because they seemed to have a crush on you, you will start flirting with them," I added and rolled my eyes.
Hindi naman na rin ako nagtataka kung marami ang nagkakagusto sa lalaki dahil talaga namang may itsura si Conrad.
Aside from the fact that he's good, he's tall and good-looking.
Mayabang at nakakabuwisit nga lang.
"Selos ka naman?" nakangisi na tanong nito sa akin.
"You wish," I rolled my eyes again before I turned around and walked towards my office. Hindi ko naman na rin narinig si Conrad na nagsalita nang makalayo na ako rito.
