riki opens the door of his dorm and steps inside, moonbyul tails behind him. she was undeniably exhausted, so without hesitation she shamelessly flops down on his bed, the fall unnecessarily theatrical as she melts into the soft sheets, her body sinking into comfort. ah and there she was again. in his room. this time in his bed. she never learns.
riki moves to the window, drawing back the curtains and pushing it open. he sits on the edge, his gaze drawn irresistibly to the girl laying on his bed and he didn't even try to hide the way he's staring. she was perfect and the sight of her had rendered him breathless.
her long, midnight-black hair cascades over his pillow, each strand catching the faintest glimmer of moonlight that caressed her like a lover's touch. he doesn't let one single detail go unnoticed— the soft curve of her cheek, the freckles scattered across her skin like small constellations, the fullness of her lips and her mesmerizing, now tired eyes that reflected whole galaxies in them.
the silver rays cast an ethereal glow on her body wrapped in red silk, liquid fire against her skin. there was no way she was real, it was impossible for a human of flesh and bones to look so aphrodisiac, like some dream conjured by the night. he almost wanted to keep her there for the night, just to keep admiring her, because now that he looks at her carefully, he feels like he should never dare to even think of touching her in any way, he doesn't feel worthy.
"why were you late today?" her soft voice snaps riki out of his thoughts, his gaze stays on her face, but this time, her eyes meet his. riki chuckles softly. "i'm answering only one question so, is that what you want to know?" he leans towards her slightly, his hand sinking in the matress. moonbyul nods reluctantly. "i guess, yeah" she murmurs, her voice laced with uncertainty as several more questions swirled in her mind.
riki sighs softly. "not that i am expecting some kind of prize" he began "because i wasn't planning on telling you or anybody else, but i saved the evening. . .and maybe your life as well" he says clamly, way too calmly. moonbyul's heart skips a beat, a flash of fear passing through her. sits up slightly her body tense as she searches his face for answers, her gaze silently urging him to continue.
riki seemed hesitant, as if the weight of what he's about to say is too much to bear. suddenly, he drops his face in his palms, frustration evident in the way his shoulders slump. "look, i can't even make this up okay?" he pushes his hair back "JJ and his idiotic friends wanted to sabotage the show and when i say sabotage i mean they had loosened the screws of the stage lights, those things were barely hanging on the edge"
moonbyul's jaw drops in disbelief, her mind reeling as she images what could have happened. this was unbelievable. anger, fear, shock mix in her expression, her emotions warring beneath the surface. someone could have gotten hurt, she could have gotten hurt.
